Okay I need some new DDR3, although needs to run at 1.5v as per specifications on my motherboard. Looking at 2x2GB sticks, anyone got any ideas?

Looked at this Kingston set although I have no idea at how well they will perform. Looking at sub £120

Can someone give me some pointers here?

That KVR you've linked to is fine, we use it at work and it's absolutely fine, OC'ing - obviously something I'm not able to test but I expect you'll get a little bit of headroom.

I'd suggest looking at Crucial RAM as well, I'm very impressed since using the Ballistix since DDR and now DDR3 - £100 for 4GB - unfortunately though I believe it's 1.65v stock so it's possibly redundant.

:/

Ah that's ok then. I thought that because they were value RAM they would be somewhat crappy.

And yea, i don't know if my board ONLY support 1.5v or just prefers it. I can't seem to find very many sticks that are 1.5v.

I didn't even notice that you were using Ballistix already.

^^

How have you found them? I've managed to hit 1600MHz @ 1.65v with mine.

That needs changing. I have been running into problems with them. For some reason with both sets in, i keep getting crashes. Memtest comes back fine. But with one set out i have yet to have a problem.

Weird!

Mine have been absolutely ideal. RMA possible?

the crucial value ram is nice and cheap ram

na i got them second hand, and in all honesty there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with them. They pass memtest for 5+ hours fine.

also I would contact crucial, they will rma you and give you the new revision ballistix, my bet is you had the older revision crappy lv ddr3 the newer revisions are nice strong and good overclockers
