How?!? Just tried that and good grief ouch! I couldn't hold my fingers like that for a gaming session if my life depended on it..
You don’t need to keep the pinky there all the time, just for a second to press the button. Many use Toggle on sprint and crouch specifically to not have to hold the button. It’s fine, mostly.

My left hand doesn't have any pain from gaming so far, its my right hand's mouse click fingers that hurts sometimes when I play ARPGs for longer than my usual sessions for days/weeks. 'Like when its a new season start or a new relase like D4 was'
Mine left hand sometimes cramps up a bit during very intense and/or long FPS sessions, but that has nothing to do with WASD and everything with me slowly realizing that full height mechanical keyboards are not ergonomic at all really and going with a low profile one is probably better for the wrist long term.
My advice for ARPGs that support it BTW is using a controller. It is unironically great, even in something like D2R where original game did not support it. Having movement and attacks/abilities separate is actually probably a better control scheme than having everything on a mouse button.

You might have missed my point. Unless you're going to curl it up, the pinky finger has no use with WASD.

On THAT we could not agree more!! :rockout:

Ah, nah, I just rest it on TAB which is usually the scoreboard, which is something that in competitive games is useful to check. But i have relatively small hands (18-ish by 9-ish), so lack of space is not a concern.

Yeah, I might look into getting something LP like a Nuphy Air75 V2 or something. I know that some might suggest just getting a wrist/palm rest, but I find those restrictive. Curling my hand up to reach full height keys, however, is probably not great and FEELS tense. I have no idea why low-profile mechanical KB market is so limited though, there are some Keychron models, Nuphy, couple from random manufacturers and that’s kinda it. You’d think more people would realize how stupid having all options be not only full height, but with optional tilt-feet to lift them even further (why?!).

WASD combined with mose buttons so that I dont take out my hands off the WASD

So what do you do with your pinky finger?(this is why I never understood WASD)
It naturally and comfortably rests on L-shift. I have large hands so there's comfortably a two keyboard row difference in length between the middle finger on W and pinky on L-shift. L-ctrl and L-shift can be used like a rocker for me, too.

I think the main thing is that everyone has different sized hands, torsos, shoulder width so you just pick the five primary home keys that work for you and adjust binding layouts from there. For me that's LS, A, W, D, and space - though I wish space was a row lower on most keyboards.
