I've got a Dell E1705 with the following specs;
1. Intel Core Duo 1.83 Ghz processor
2. 4GB DDR2 667Mhz memory
3. 160GB Sata HDD
4. Nvidia 7900 GS go dual heat pipe video card (with the 7950 GTX flash)
5. SoundBlaster Audigy Advanced HD Audio card
I bought the following parts to do the conversion;
1. M1710 base
2. M1710 Mobo
3. M1710 CPU cooling fan w/LED's
4. M1710 GPU cooling fan w/LED's
5. M1710 Speakers w/LED's
6. M1710 LCD cover
7. M1710 Power Button Hinge Cover
8. M1710 Palmrest
Upon bootup, I only had to install the NIC card driver for the Gigabit NIC and the smart card reader drivers. Everything else was just fine since the chipset was the same for my e1705 and the m1710 mobo's.
