Samsung EVO Plus 128 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 80 MB/s Memory Card

The second one in your post had the below for random read/write performance.
When comparing random large-block transfers, the Samsung Evo Plus recorded 79.5MB/s read with 3.9MB/s write.

It scored just above the advertised speed on sequential read.
we measured transfer speeds from the 128GB Samsung Evo Plus microSD card with IOMeter. Here, sequential transfer rates were recorded with reads and writes of 84.9MB/s and 19.7MB/s respectively, the latter which is nearly double the speed of its predecessor, which posted 44.4MB/s read and 19.1MB/s write.

Having trouble finding anything for the Samsung EVO Plus 128 GB MicroSDXC UHS Class 3.

the class 3 is faster

on newer cards , you can look for the "V" rating i.e v30/v60/v90 (higher being better) but ideally, you want a uhs 3 a Bus speed of 1 (lower is better in this rating) and a number that is higher in the circle. All of these ridiculous speed ratings are a joke, and a ploy to confuse buyers, and make it impossible for many.

class 10 could now be considered baseline slow.. it no longer means that much..

trog

in reality the old Samy evo and pro cards are faster than plus versions, albeit not all... for example I have two 16GB PRO cards... and they perform different... one is 90-95 topping the max of UHS I and the other one only max at 80-85...

Kingston style lottery it is.

The speeds are based on write performance, not read. The point of the rating system is to make sure the operation of the device isn't slowed by storage media that can't keep up.

That doesn't matter, it's the data transfer rates that do.

These are not phones
