Ive been trying to compile a list of games which require or can use 9c features but my list is pretty limited. HDR using a 9b path dont count. So that rules out the hl2 series/stalker etc.

So far i have

Rainbow Six: Vegas
Colin Mcrae: DiRT
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Spiderman 3
MOH: Airborne
Kane and Lynch Dead men
Gears of War
Company of Heroes
Call of Juarez
Flight Simulator X
Farcry
Hellgate London
Crysis
Oblivion
CoH

Also, games with directx 10 capability, we will assume require 9c since theres no way to tell.

Thanks for any help.

Pretty much all new games are DirectX9c, DX10, or both.

Crysis, UT3, Assasins Creed, just about everything that will be released in the next year, with do both.

UT3 works just as well on a SM2 card as an SM3 card. No extra features used.

yeh, but 9c has been out for ages and yet has had very low adoption till now. Im not sure crysis uses any 9c unique features either. But we'll assume it does on very high.

Eve Online:Trinity will be full DX9c/SM3 when it is released in the next few weeks

(Developers spent 50 man years modeling and texturising)

For Crysis very high = DX10 and high = DX9c. I'm sure it uses 9c, because I've never seen a DX9 game look so good!

I'm pretty sure Oblivion uses DX9c.

I was thinking about Oblivion but wasnt too sure. I remember running it on an sm2 card but couldnt remember if any options were locked. Also, assassin's creed isnt out yet so doesnt get on.

Does anyone know anything about CoH? I know theres a dx10 patch so it automatically gets on the list, but without the patch?

Source-based games have a SM 2.0 path as well as a 3.0

Doom 3: ROE.

Doom 3 itself isn't, as it uses 9b, but ROE uses 9c graphics.

X2 after patch upgrade and the farscape mod's allow direct x 9c features

Thief: Deadly Shadows

Although it was released under DX9b, it will make use of DX9c instructions
