Hey guys I finally got around to installing the full version of dirt 2 (rather than just the demo) and the damn thing keep crashing (in dx11 mode) everytime you move from outside into the trailer!? has anyone seen this before? I had a quick google search but couldn't find anything other than a couple of youtube videos of guys having the same issue.

I really don't want to run in dx9 if i dont have to.

Whats up with that?

im sure i remember someone having this issue too but i cant for the life of me find where i saw it. can anyone help? im running the 8.70RC2 driver for the cards which run all other games flawlessly.

I have a 5850 but no cf, but might sound stupid but how can you tell what mode its running in dx9 or dx11? is there a place to change it? Dragon

if you set everything ot ultra then you're running dx11, if you're running anything below that, its dx9.

This problem is really frustrating because since ive only just started the game i have no saves yet...so it goes through telling you how to play the game for the first time and as soon as you move from outside into the trailer it crashes and i have to reset.

So how can i change my settings without launching the game? theres gotta be a cfg file somewhere right?..

nevermind - i found the cfg file in mydocuments/my games/dirt2

changed crowd to false and no more crashes. weird huh? :S

im getting 63fps minimum average of 93. not bad :)

ok switched it all to ultra and ran great!!! My only problem is I wish i could drive better so i dont always come in last lol keyboard is hard to use for me as my fingers dont move to well due to arthrits and fibromialgia Dragon
