"Disable Installer Telemetry & Advertising" doesn't work (Win7, 474.44)

When I tick this option I'm always getting the following error message:
Error: Could not find file
'C:\Users\DELL7740\AppData\Local\Temp\NVCleanstall\NV12\presentations.cfg'.

Checked the folder and yes, this file isnt there. Also reinstalled the program, but didn't fix the problem.

Gsus, why are you still using Win7? :wtf: It's an unsupported, dead & unsafe OS. Just buy a cheap Win10 key & upgrade to the future.

Well, there is O&O Shutup 10++ to disable the Microsoft nonsense. Works for Win10 & Win11 (not Win7). So switching to Win10 is kinda a Win/Win solution. :)

O&O ShutUp10++ – Free antispy tool for Windows 10 and 11

With the freeware O&O ShutUp10++, unwanted Windows 10 and 11 features can be disabled and the transfer of sensitive personal data onto Microsoft prevented.

Does not fix the issue on Windows 7 for retro builds.
