It didnt. If it does now, thats good, but does it still require you to log in with their servers before connected to the host?

Nope. Maybe you are thinking of the licening limit? you can have like 32 people for free past that you have to buy a lic. This server isnt new, iv had it for almost a decade.

I used in its early days for Everquest 1 raiding, planes of power, roughly 2003, I quit usinbg vchats when I stopped raiding so much. So yea it, and the other vchats, have definitely changed since then. Thats good, they have to compete with Discord, which is/was limited to 16 for freebies.

Teamspeak has been self host since day 1

We used it offline for LAN parties, so it required no logins or internet at all
