now i have ati tool and i use it to increase my clock speeds but do i really need it to test if its stable...can i just use gaming to test for stability...or run a continuous loop of 3dmark05 for the night while i sleep?...i just played over 2hrs of bf2 with an oc of 525/550 from 400/490 and it ran fine at ilde temps of 20C and load of 35c...but with ati tool if i run the scan it last for only about 30mins then my screen goes blank and it says that there is no signal and then i have to reboot..so theres my question thanks for any replies

If your load temp is 35c and you could play BF2 for 2hrs straight i belive ur fine. As for the Atitool problam are you going past the 525/550 mark? If you are then the black screen may be the result of the card exeeding its overclock limits.

no not really a bf2 loop or a 3dmark loop isnt a full 100% work for the gpu atitool is hard so if atitool gives you erros then your oc istn stable

its like your cpu is running 32mbit super pi but after 45 minutes prime 95 you get errors

Better to be safe than sorry when OC'ing, especially wiv gfx card's ;)

ATI Tool seems to do the trick for most ppl, so i would stand by its results foremost.
