Do I need to install a video card driver in the motherboard
if I use the 2070 card?

Attaches a picture of the board software that wants to install a motherboard driver on a motherboard

Although I have a 2070 video card that I use

Ah, that's the driver for Intel's integrated GPU.

You don't need that, since you're using a different GPU.

That driver is only needed if you're not using a discrete graphics card and are relying on Intel's GPU (which comes integrated in the processor)

Thank you

But I've been having sound issues since I switched to the Intel 12900K
With MPC-BE movie software
POTPLAER

No problem with YouTube sound

I found in picture 3 of a driver testing software
And do not understand what to do?

Might be they are not yet updated to handle the hybrid design of Intel's Alder Lake?

Can't really test that myself, since I'm not on Alder Lake, but you might want to check if the latest version of MPC-BE still suffers those problems. Latest version is 1.6.0 from December 27th 2021. According to the changelog, there have been a few fixes that might be related to your troubles (though nothing Alder Lake specific, it seems).

Ah, high performance mode includes a couple settings that disable energy-saver features. Might help with your issue, but I wouldn't really put much faith in them.

You can switch power plans in Control Panel

just use VLC and all those problems will go away.

If you use both the 2070 and the integrated GPU for extra display outputs (like I do), then yes. Otherwise, no. It is also worth disabling the iGPU in BIOS if you don't need it.

High performance mode locks the CPU in its highest C-state, which increases power consumption and heat for no reason. I would not recommend it. Ever.

Bad answer - the worst player is VLC
Poor pixel quality
Poor color quality
Poor contrast quality

This is the problem There is no iGPU in BIOS registered in the BIOS
No sound to turn off in the BIOS

The 12900K has an IGPU, so the BIOS should have an option for that.

Do us a favor, fill up your system specs here:

So that way we know what motherboard it is and any other hardware that might be necessary to know about.
What will it help you to write down the specifications that you do not have?
What will help me that I do not find in the IGPU BIOS?

What will it help you to write down the specifications that you do not have?

Because we cannot help someone without knowing what it is they are working with, since often that means one can find information about capabilities, where settings might be or take a look at the products manual, which I hope you read thoroughly of course, as one should. It answers many questions one might have.

Attaches a picture that has the audio on the motherboard turned off
And something to do with a video card in the BIOS is off

The problem of listening to movies through video players
remaining

12900K processor
Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4 motherboard (rev. 1.0)
Video card 2070

All this is not worth it to you, because you do not have this hardware nor the player

Windows already installed it for you
You don't need to do anything with the igpu when you have a dedicated gpu

you do know it has settings right? but hey good luck i'm out

Only if using as primary adapter.

The media player being used is outdated

You wont get any help at all with an attitude like that.
Try working with people and providing the information they ask for.

Cropped screenshots of mystery programs like in post #3 dont help at all - and your lack of information is even worse.

Sounds like the kinds of issues you get from re-using an OS on different hardware, and looks like you used sketchy driver updater software

Not really the media is the latest version
You're also wrong about drivers

People answer no matter they have neither the hardware nor the software
And their answers are not good

Again it is not true this is a world valued software and also Microsoft recommends an increase

Since you know it all figure it out on your own :slap:

The software you are using is shitty

Also anything on sourceforge is going to have bugs in it as it is beta software

So stop using that software and use realplayer, quicktime, mediaplayer classic,, video codec.

Again these 2 good features for watching movies are not true! And well-known in the field of video Philly in the world

Also anything on sourceforge is going to have bugs in it as it is beta software

Again it's not true you do not use my software so you have no knowledge or experience in operating these programs and therefore all your advice is irrelevant!

I have been using these programs for years and happy

So stop using that software and use realplayer, quicktime, mediaplayer classic,, video codec.
You have no right to tell me which software to use or not!
Especially since one of you has an idea in these programs!

Since you know it all figure it out on your own

realplayer, quicktime, mediaplayer classic

All the software you mentioned to their developers long ago ran away from them
And do not develop them!
And they do not display good HDR nor good video
And they are very old

So all your answers are not disabled, very bad!

Since you know it all figure it out on your own
Your attitude is very poor
And I'm giving up all your help

You have your answer so live with it genius, your ignorance precedes you

You have your answer so live with it genius, your ignorance precedes you

It was explained to you in detail how bad your answers are and unrelated to reality and trouble it is you coming back here and threatening me with force !!!
Get your answers !!!

If you did not understand I have no desire to read your answers.

Your violence! Your inventions! Keep your threats to those who do not know you!

What he said contained neither violence or threats. And why should he keep threats to those who don't know him?

You have been intentionally vague with any information, contradicted your self several times and rude to anyone and every who tried to provide you with help or get the information required to try and help you.

You have said that audio works in youtube, so its functional on your machine at least. Whats left then is software problems including configuration problems. You have provided no information of how your media player is configured, what devices it is trying to output audio too, what audio devices you even have. But if audio was not functional, you would have no audio at all, which is not the case from what you have said.
So if you cannot provide the information requiered for others to verify that you have indeed everything configured and setup correctly, including configuration for your media player, then no one can provide you with any help.
And try not to be rude to those who spend their time voluntarily to try and help you solve your problem when we have to fight you every step of the way to try and help you solve the issue you state you wish to get help with.

All you say is a collection of lies!
You can see that I wrote down the details of CPU + motherboard + video card! + Video software

You did not even read the thread!

According to you you write in several names!

If you have no details or you lack details! You do not have to answer!

More serious than that all the respondents do not have my hardware!
They do not have my software
So they have no understanding of what they are answering!
And curse me! I get nonsense that they have no idea what the software is!

Sea of nonsense!

I was pretty sure I specified that we have no information about software configuration, for your media player. As stated, more than once, audio works on your system. Since you get audio when you watch youtube as you said yourself in post #3.
That leaves potplayer problems, which may be as simple as potplayer being set to the wrong audio device, it happens. To which I asked you to provide information that can help us verify if it is set correctly.

Did you even read half of what I wrote?
