do these temps seem ok?

hi i have an e6600 on a d6q board and i wanted to know if these temps are ok.

34c idle

56c full load

using the legacy and pwm bios settings, or does everyone just disable the smartfan settings and run cpu fan at full speed?

those temps are fine if your using the stock cooler and your not planning to overclock.

anything under 60 should be fine, but yes the lower the better.

i just noticed u said E6600 not Q....

they do seem rather high to me now... i would make sure the cooler is seated properly.

also what is the current ambient temp.

those temps are low. What are you using to "load" the processor?

If you're using intel TAT or Linpack, your load temp is much higher than prime 95 or orthos

Wow, we have the exact same CPU and motherboard.

I'm currently on my stock intel cooler and was surprised to see it was only reporting 54c running 3 Prime95 processes. Room temp @ about 68f

TAT reports much higher temps than prime, it heats up the CPU much more - so your temps are actually good.

Linpack is highest, TAT is second Highest, and yes, at those temps that proc will be around for at least a decade.
