I stream purely because I'm able to, do I have viewers? Maybe 2 or 3 but that's not the point, some of my friends like to see new games and some like to check out game content ie. Wow raiding. I stream to FB mostly as I use that platform daily

Not intrested in it just like watching everything wrong with X game by GCN on YouTube...besides I would be too embarrassed to be seen running around cluelessly trying to get these stupidly impossible challenges achieved in today's games (looking your way RotTR and up high in Geothermal valley)

I've watched streams if it's one of a few specific games I'd enjoy watching. I've also steamed some, but not very much. This was before I ever heard of anyone making money off of it. That was never my goal in the first place.

The only streams I watch are from Vinesauce which plays shovelware, junks, mods or good ol'classics that are funny and/or interesting to watch. I kind of like to fall asleep during his stream when I'm insomniac. He's very humble and does not fill his game session with all the on-screen addins.

He's streaming RE4 and it's dope.

I am just saying if I were guaranteed to make as much as those top people then of course I would go for it. Some of them make incredible amounts of money.

I like streaming myself and like watching other people stream. I don't watch television and prefer to watch a real person taking part in a hobby I enjoy. The people I watch are people that I find calm and friendly and you communicate with them via the chat. It's socializing in a modern sense. If you don't understand it that's fine, but don't bash it just because you don't get it. I'm 36yo and love to stream and watch them. I guess maybe I'm just progressive like that. TV sucks and so do most movies nowadays. Twitch is what I've turned to for my entertainment.

It appears you don't fully understand the psychological reasons behind your need for it. Perhaps you should look in to that before bashing others and denying why you do it.
Personally I wouldn't call being isolated behind a screen "progressive".

There are no psychological reasons behind my "need" for it. I like it. It's as simple as that. And who did I bash? where in my post was I bashing someone? Please explain. And I'm not isolated behind a screen. Streaming is a new form of socializing. That's not to say I don't take part in the old forms, I just don't mind the new forms. Most older people, like my mom for example, don't like Facebook and Twitter. She feels that she'd rather pick up the phone and talk to someone from a long time ago, than post a message on their timeline or "at" them in a Twitter post. I am 36 and don't feel that way. I like Twitter and some parts of Facebook, and I like Twitch. That's what I meant by "progressive". Why the attitude anyway?
