Does anyone use bluetooth on their PC and why if so?

BT headphones. Used for a while but range was an issue, couldn't get more than 20ft before signal got choppy.

stream music to my laptop from my N1

I use BT for my mouse at work and a keyboard also.:toast:

i was thinking of trying it on my mame arcade to use my wiimotes as light guns.... but havent got around to it yet

Works btw but is a real pain to set up !

BT is cool, and cheap for phone file transfers.

I use to use it for my phones back in the day before they started shipping with data cables as standard to hook them up to a pc.

a few high end SAMSUNG MP3 players have bluetooth built in to support bluetooth headsets.

I think asside from mobile phones & other mobile devices - theres very little reason to use it on a PC

GPS dock which is on the dash--wireless because a cable between the computer and the dash is dangerous for the computer. It also means the computer can be removed from the vehicle without unplugging the GPS device.

I use it for wireless stereo audio and to Sync my WinMo phone. Works very well :D

I don't but been thinking getting some thing with it if possible as i like how they work ( at least how they do with the PS3 ).

Just don't know what item MAYBE a keyboard if the chance comes along.

Damn. I want a phone that will connect to my friggin' PC to use as a WMP remote :p

pretty much all smartphones can do it, mine does it over BT and wifi.

I have a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and i was curious if i could use it as a media remote over Wifi rather than bluetooth and apparently there are programs for this phone that do that! Result!

The 5530 has wifi, it doesn't have 3G though which is unrelated i guess lol.
Going to check out "salling clicker" right now.

EDIT: Going to try the trial on their main site.

the main benefit to salling clicker is that it doesnt just give you media keys, but also access to the playlist of the program in question. i found that really awesome when controlling over wifi, as i can select what song to play at parties 100M away from the PC :P

Phone isnt in the list even when updated, seems like 1 or nearly 2 years out that list for the Nokia phones. Lol at the N Gage support.
Trying it with another phone though, that has symbian OS S60.

EDIT: Okay seems to work so far after installing it on the phone. My phone uses an onscreen keyboard and the one i selected did not so i cannot input any passcode lol.
Cool im using Vectir PC software now instead.
