The Intel board might be OK try to flash Bios via other methods: https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...rds-and-kits/desktop-boards.html?wapkw=dh61ww

You finally filled out system specs but you listed 2x 4GB ram? Is the second slot broken or fixed?

You have not read carefully regarding ram speed. Intel indicated 1600mhz and your 1866 would down clock automatically or with manual bios adjustment to that speed if it could post. YOU said you could get into bios just not Windows.

Go back and READ Post from the TOP.
I am extremly sorry this has been a cluster fuck beacuse I was thinking of my other thread were I posted about everything

One of slot is dead I am using one 4gb 1333mhz ram as I know 8gb 1866 would not work without a downclock

So to clarify I have

I7 2600
Dh61ww (with one dead ram slot )
4x 4gb Corsair ram
Stock cooler
A Corsair 700w supply
Gtx 680 refrance
Samsung Evo 850 500 gig
2x 1tb drives
1x 2 tb drive

A Kingston 8gb 1866 mhz ram that never worked

Your first task should be to get the NEW 0120 BIOS installed.

If you can't get it to the newest then you should look for a new MB. I say this because if one ram slot is broken, perhaps other areas are affected. Because it is a retail board I was looking for better ram variety selection on a new bios.

If you get a newer board then the first thing to do is update to the newest bios. Then proceed with the rest of the build and memory selection.

Sorry for your frustration.

Thanks for your hard work, I will try this asap also when I had my older bios I tried the 1866 ram and CPU made 2 beep noises iirc it meant ram failure am I right about this ????

That's why I asked which ram slot was PRIMARY. It could be that it will not work in that slot at that capacity without a Bios update or not at all. It could be the brand of memory as others have had problems with HyperX or it could be due to SS or DS ram issue.

I don't have a clear answer. The new ram could also be bad.

New Ram has been an issue for many and that's why a CLEAR Bios is required in order for it to be recognized. A bios update also achieves this. (It resets default values)

Are you able to get back into Windows? (after resetting SATA field)

USB stick. Is there a Bios field to select USB as primary drive and another field to assist in the bios update? A dedicated bios update field. You don't need the primary hard drive connected.(disconnect power and sata cable)

Recovery BIOS update [BE0120.BIO] - A .BIO file to be used for F7 BIOS Update method or a BIOS recovery process. In the unlikely event that a BIOS update is interrupted, it is possible the BIOS may be left in an unusable state. Use the recovery BIOS update to recover from this condition. It requires a USB flash device or CD.

Iflash BIOS update [BEH6110H.86A.0120.BI.ZIP] - A DOS-based utility to update the BIOS regardless of operating system. It requires a CD or a USB flash device.

You just don't put a file on the usb drive unless there is a bios update routine prebuilt into the bios.

You need someone on your end who has more experience.

I don't think I can help anymore at your stage. How are you trying to boot: rufus or yumi?

I Tried putting the iflash and the bio file there still not working ?

Time to put that rig to the side, start fresh or take it to a shop

Will just buy a new board and go to shop get it installed properly, I made the thread to figure out if Asus board with Sandy bridge will support the 1866 ram but still have no idea, as board page mentioned about only ivy bridge supporting those speeds I don't even need 1866 I can work with 1333 but it needs to work lol

i have tried to run the hyperx 8gb on my dh61ww but they give double beep and dont boot up can i run that hyperx dimm in dh61ww ???
On Intel boards two beeps indicate iGPU issue. Maybe there is some hardware/software fault on the motherboard itself.
According to spec for both dh61ww and kingston hyperx, they should be 100% compatible.
HyperX RAM has a JEDEC profiles for anything as low as 1333MHz, and Intel board supports 2x8 configuration for 4Gbit chips. There may be some nuances with RAM that does not have 1066MHz SPD profile, but I've only heard rumors.

Strange I used the hyperx ram & immediately got the error and my serch suggested it was a ram issue

Also I just ordered the Asus board now hopefully this ends the fail train
