So a little while ago there was a Windows 10 update.
This messed things up for me...

I have 2 issues now that maybe someone here has some ideas about.

1. I have to start up my pc twice for it to actually start up.
I start up the pc and it hangs on a blackscreen with a Dos like blipping dash in the top left corner, it does not move on from there.
Then I turn it off by hitting the power button, and hit the button again and it will normally boot into windows.

2. Once I am in windows my sound is messed up, its this distorded sound that also makes videos move really slowly.
The only way to fix this is to turn the sound to a lower settings, normally its 16bit 96k, I turn it down to 16bit 41k, hit the test button, then turn it back to 96k and it will work fine again.
But I have to do this every time I start up the pc.
My soundcard is an Focusrite 2i4 btw which is USB and I did try a different USB port.

Start using MSDEFCON and www.askwoody.com for OS updates that break windows

I like focusrite sound interfaces, I personally believe they are among the best. I, however, owned an Emu 0404 and mostly asio 2.0 enabled creative sound cards.

I would try to uninstall focursite sound card and unplug it and see how the system acts after this change. Then put everything together and see what happens.
