Doubts about bus width Rx 580

Hi everyone, I recently purchased an XFX RX580 GTS XXX OC edition on Amazon ... today I downloaded the GPU-Z software and in the "Bus width" parameter I had a strong doubt that the video card can be fake because the bus width is 32 bit, when in the specification this should be 256 bit. Could it be a simple GPU-z error or something more serious?

Thanks

Have you tried to benchmark it yet, play games etc...?

Try reinstalling gpuz and your amd drivers, I've never seen this one before lol

uninstall, clean with something like ccleaner incl registry, reboot, reinstall gpuz.
might be a glitch, but some things will get reported wrong, cause there is no "load" on the gpu.
e. g. most cards will reduce clocks incl pcie to lower power when idle, so gpuz will report x1 foe bandwidth, even that the card/board has a x16 slot and the cars operates at that when gaming/benchmarks run.

Yes, I read online that some specs might be wrong cause there is no load on gpu...that can be the strange bus width that I've seen. Thanks for the answer sir.
e.g the bus interface that gpu-z shows is x16 1.1 for the reason that you have mentioned. Then when I start the render test, the x16 1.1 change to x16 3.0 but bus width did not change; do you know other tools to check this specs?

Try 3dmark (Fire Strike or Time Spy), if the scores hover around typical RX 580 scores, then it just reports wrong.

Well, I have tried with PassMark software and the results of 3d graphics mark is 8099 (I've run the short test). Online the result for Rx 580 is 8723. My rating seems good, even because my CPU is i7 3770 so It can be a possibile bottleneck for the results of the test

That would suggest that the card is working as it should otherwise with such a dramatic cut to the bus width and resultant bandwidth you'd probably be scoring around half of that, as advised clean drivers and reinstall GPUz and also run 3DMark to see if your card is performing how it should be.

This might be a glitch? with GPU-z as another card has been reported not having the UEFI box checked and fields incomplete.
@W1zzard

I bought this card (RX-580P8DFD6) on 12/2018, replaced it once, and then refunded.

Don't remember having "BIOS Version Unknown" or "Bus width 32-bit".

Very strange, never seen that before. Also it seems that GPU-Z is unable to read the BIOS (version empty, UEFI unchecked).

Is this the only card in your system? Does saving the BIOS work in GPU-Z?

Well, I had the integrated GPU in my system.

What do you mean with "does saving the BIOS work in GPU-Z"?

Between the Bios version field and the Uefi checkbox is an arrow, what happens when you click on that arrow?
Does this box appear, but with your details ?

Is it normal that when I try to open amdvbflashWin my Windows crash? Even when I open it with as administrator..
That's definitely not normal. Any chance you can try the card in another PC?

Try the command prompt version (amdvbflash.exe), type in: amdvbflash -s 0 backup.rom

No I can't..I try to search on the Internet what is the problem that cause crash...

Did it...It crashes anyway

@W1zzard I was thinking ... these days I still played heavy games (Cod Warzone that certainly everyone knows that it is optimized badly on PC) and in any case I got good fps even at very high settings. Actually it could only be a bug of Gpu-z ... if I had actually had 32 bits of bus amplitude I think I wouldn't even have started the games, right?

Among the other things I also found on the forum a similar problem of a user who reported the same problem but on a 1060 6 (or 3 I don't remember) gb

correct, but it's not only gpuz since atiflash crashes too.

Have you disabled the integrated GPU?

Well It seems the crash is caused by atillk64.sys..don’t know what is..
The blue screen of Windows appears when I try to execute Atiflash

That's the kernel driver used by ATIFlash for hardware access. Have you tried contacting XFX support?

Sorry for my bad english. I also have the same problem. My card is Sapphire RX 580 Nitro + 8GB and the error I received is exactly the same and atiflash bluescreen. Please help.

Edit: Yes guys, I solved the problem. It will be very simple but I just installed Windows 10 2004 version and my problem is solved. Greetings from Turkey :)
