Driver assistance for this noob

I just built my first system yesterday. All is good in the world. I have a 5850 GPU and I just noticed that I downloaded the vista drivers dated 4/29/2010 instead of the windows 7 drivers, opps.
Do I need to remove vista drivers, (if so, how?) or can I just install the win 7 drivers and be good?
Does anyone know if the 4/29/2010 driver package has everything I need?

Go to your Control Panel, view Installed Programs, find ATI drivers and select remove.

You can also run Driver Sweeper to make sure all traces are removed.

I dumped wrong drivers and installed new. I attempted to run OCCT and it is telling me:
'Your DirectX 9 isn't up to date. OCCT GPU and Power Supply tests will be disabled' and then tells me:
'Your Graphic Card Doesn't suppor CUDA. You need Geforce 8 or higher. GPU memtest will be disabled'
??????????

Downloaded, still have same problem. I don't get it, this is a directX 11 card, why would I need directX 9 for OCCT to work??

How do I tell what version of DirectX is on system?
