when i put my plug in my iphone and do tethering, my computer recognizes it and tries to install the apple mobile device ethernet driver, but each time i try, it keeps giving me an error saying "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service." what in the world does that even mean!?!?

I also have this same error for my bluetooth device, both are screwy, please help!

edit: found something new, when i select the option of browsing thru drivers and randomly pick a ethernet driver, it gives me the same exact message "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service." It seems for some reason it doesn't want to install drivers for 2 things, my iphone's tethering, and my bluetooth.

Hard disk space maybe?

cant be, my iphone has alot of space as it is still relatively new, only a week old, no new stuff, hardly any music. And my computer, i got over 100 gbs free space, so can't be. this is the lamest thing i have seen.

for

"Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service"

it can be System Incompatibility, very similar with "Your OS did not support for (bla...bla..bla.../Depend on the case)" or "Your Specification doesn't enough for installing this driver" but you're using Quad Core Processor with ton's of Ram.

try to Install manually using windows compability mode to XP.

or, try "Install automatically from Internet"

I tried both of those methods, and i went online and saw that others with the same OS as mine can install the driver just fine. :(

System incompatibility i guess, since its asking for some files or something.. what OS do you have btw?

is your user account an administrator? is UAC enabled or disabled?

Do you have any antivirus or parental protection software running?

Diabled antivirus, UAC disabled, and yeah admin acc. Does diabling antivirus stop the protection?

yes, it stops the protection.

Some bad antivirus can stop driver installs, thinking its some kind of virus attack.

Well, if this keeps up you may have to format to fix it.

Dang, thats what I was thinking I needed to do. Oh would you guys happen to know how to fix a screwed up DHCP Server service? My friend's computer got screwed up somehow and his network connections all show no ip/info, but can connect to stuff. And his DHCP Server Service is pointing to a non existing folder.

oh and he didn't turn on windows restore, so he can't use that. He's also using Windows 7 ult 64 bit.
