Hi all,
I have recently acquired a E-System 3213 laptop (same as EI Systems and lots of other laptops under the Dixons group)
However it has a BIOS password, and I do not know it. I've removed the laptops main battery and of course the CMOS battery for about 24 hours just to be completely safe but still wants a BIOS password...
I've tried all known backdoor passwords for the Phoenix BIOS('s) but still nothing works.
I came across this on the bit-tech.net forum:

I have located PJP3, PJP4 and PJP5 on the motherboard, which are basically the 3 biggest lumps of solder anywhere on the board. But I thought I'd have to short 2 only points... or do I need 2 bits of wire to short all 3 points? The motherboard as far as I can see is a "Hannstar J MV-4" anyone ever heard of them?
The "PJP" points I have located are on the "front" of the board, aka the side you see when you open the access panel on the laptop with the CPU, Chipset and so on. I don't know if there are any more "PJP" points on the other side of the board (that would mean ripping the laptop apart, and wouldn't be able to turn it on for 10 seconds as "theskirrid" says).
