E6600 processor speed

hi
my company just purchased this new Hp computer, but it seams slower than my last computer, so i run it thru a few tests like the 3dmark06 and in the results it shows that the FSB is 1066 , is this correct?
motherboard HP 0A58h
Processor E6600 core 2 duo
video card pyn Nvidia force 7950 gt
2 gig of ram
Windows XP pro
3dMark06 score 4341

More than likely it is he pre-load crap that all OEM companies put in as "features".




Perhaps run a hijackthis report up and post it?

Run Super PI 95 and see what it does, Sciencemark and Nucluears muticore tests will all give you good ideas on how it's running. Sandra software also has benchmarking programs where you can compare it to other CPU's.

My uncle says that at his work there is an Intel socket 478 machine what is 2.8ghz hyperthreading and it beats thier pentium D 3.0ghz...

no i haven't tweak it , i just got it like two weeks ago and my first impressions after using it 8 hrs a day is that some applications used to run way faster in my old one, they take forever openning and can have many of them open whitout noticing a slow down
