Is it better to eject the HDDs through the task bar (hot plug must be enabled) or turning them offline through the disk management?
I think that turning them offline doesn't prevent Windows from spinning them whenever they like so ejecting could be better?
From the other hand I know no way to reconnect an ejected HDD through software alone.
And I guess there is also a 3rd method to disable the HDD through device management, which might be the best because you should be able to re-enable it afterwards.
