EK seems to be having major issues

Ya so? At least it's an update from Edvard instead of some click baited video again.

He wants to make it right. But will that happen after everyone's tech Hesus makes company smashing videos? I guess, probably not.
From the interview with the employee, there were no sign that they were going to get paid. Now that the issue is in public, Edvard comes out and announce to make things right.

This is good for the people who were getting screwed right? Even without the video, one of the ex staff went to post on LinkedIn about the issue because they were not getting any answers. It was bound to gain traction from the public anyway.

EKWB is also now getting investigate by the Ministry of Labour for late payments and I don't think they are investigating just because of GN video.

Sure, totally agree. But the people that stay/ed with the company and not get paid did that to themselves. And not for a few weeks, they did that to themselves for months!!! Why would people stay for this extended period of time without money?

blogs, webcasts, podcasts, social networking and social media sites

I would not ever inculde these in the quote as part of jourlism, as they have been proven to be unrealible sources. Almost every time they've ever been used for it.

The phrase "don't beleive everything you see or read on the internet" is still true.

IMO it's too late to make things right, EK should've made things right months ago by paying their employees and suppliers, and firing all of the corrupt higher ups in the company, instead of trying to silence people with threats of lawsuits and fines. EK shifting money to other banks to avoid their account being blocked sounds really scummy as well.
It seems like the EK fans care more about being able to buy their shiny overpriced blocks than a company screwing over their staff and manufacturers. Unsurprisingly people are attacking the messenger instead of focusing on what is really happening.
Does tech Jesus really believe gamers are "stupid" so as to explain FY in the most asinine way possible, or maybe he's trying too hard?
So what does this have to do with EK though? not everyone is a financial expert so an explanation is understandable, however this seems to be more of a subtle joke of Nvidia making record profits as if its even really news that matters when Nvidia is a multi trillion dollar company.

Almost the entire (Nvidia) segment of "news" sounds like dark humor or an inside joke, except no one's in on it! Why do you have to make a "Schneider cut" to showcase journalism? Isn't the "evidence" you have enough, or maybe you need to make it more grave than it actually is

Do you want me to post the transcript of what he said? I'm not a native English speaker, but that's not how I expect news to be!

I don't care to read a transcript for what GN said, I've already watched the whole video. For anyone that has watched GN's videos, he does make subtle jokes sometimes, I suppose that might not make sense to those who don't natively speak English.
I'm just tired of people trying to blame EK having issues on Gamers Nexus for reporting the facts, EK is ruining their own company, not GN.

So kicking someone when they are down is fine? Ever heard of the straw that broke the camel's back? Final nail in the coffin?

EK only has themselves to blame for their reputation and business going downhill. EK made a lot of bad business decisions, instead of fixing things they only doubled down on the corruption.
Without GN reporting on this EK could've went bankrupt with no notice, and instead of paying for an overpriced block or radiator, people interested in water cooling might look for better options from other brands.

GN should be somewhat careful. (IMO). If they have the influence to help aid a company folding in half..... Intel decides to sue them, good buy GN.

Lady gets M'D's Coffee. Says hot right on it. Spills on self and wins multi-million dollar law suit because it wasn't written on the lid and side of cup enough times to know you just ordered "Hot coffee".

Just saying. Steve has lots of influence. Linus has lots of influence. Defamation of character in a class action from the fired employees for example. I mean I don't know a great deal about law, but it seems to be a lucrative business for some people.

Anyone who wants Intel to sue a tech channel out of existence sounds like some wishful thinking based on being unreasonably upset over the reporting on Raptor Lake failures, GN wasn't the first one to report on the Intel issues, game companies were having issues for months before it was realized the issue was Intel CPU's, and Intel tried to hide the issues for over a year.
While Steve might have a lot of influence, the reporting to make people aware of faulty products and companies violating laws is good for the consumer, a majority of other influencers stay quiet and just take the free hardware.
If GN doing this research was worthy of a lawsuit I'm sure plenty of companies would've sued him by now and he wouldn't have any sponsorships or product review samples, most companies
are open to criticism and try to do better, companies that aren't ruining themselves usually realize doing the right thing is better for the long term rather than being greedy trying to make short term goals.

I always thought Gamer Nexus was a hardware review company. Not a company review company. As far as I'm aware, business run politics doesn't quite fit that category.

It's a blown up act, with an actor that uses certain phrases to captivate an audience to keep his own revenue up. After all it's a 1.5 million to 2 million dollar company. He'll say w/e it takes to keep a captive audience. Yeah, it might be true, but that doesn't tell me if the new waterblocks coming out perform well or not....

Actions speak louder than words...

Edvard is a criminal. He's acting like criminals do, doing things that criminals do. And yet there are a few people here who seem to be trying their damnedest to defend that same person while at the same time character assassinate GN for DOING THE RIGHT THING!

Hmm...

Ah yes, victim blaming. That's a convincing argument.

I have some bad news for the haters employing the shoot the messenger fallacy. GN is going to keep growing in industry influence and respect because they are consumer advocates. They keep investing in the equipment and the training to use it, in order to review and deepdive hardware few if any have ever efforted before. They fly and stay in hotels on their own dime not accepting gifts from vendors, in order to avoid conflicts of interest. They also donate to charities, and give away the prebuilts they review to people in their community.

If you think they are salty now? Wait for the raptor lake follow up; it's going to make their cheese fall off the cracker. :kookoo:

Let's not pretend GN is just a messenger here! They have a direct stake with user engagement, among others, it's like you totally forgot their mini beef with LTT or heck TPU? They're not a "neutral" observer or just the messenger.

Let us hope that they will in the future concentrate on providing information to consumers about the products and information to manufacturers how to improve the products, rather than making disastrous wannabe reportages (objectively grossly unethical), which can bankrupt the manufacturer and cause creditors of the company to never see their money again, and also consumers not to be ablo to buy their products again and not get warranty repairs for the products they already own.

I also hope that Mr. Burke will educate himself in economic affairs enough, so that he will understand what limited liability means and that to increase the chances for creditors getting their money back the company should be in the best shape as possible, that includes to have the highest revenue as possible.

DOING ANYTHING THAT DECREASES REVENUE OF THE COMPANY WITH PROBLEMS HURTS CREDITORS OF THE COMPANY.

Free speech, Steve can do what he wants. If you do illegal stuff be prepared for it, the is no moralizing involved, quit trolling.

Are you OK :wtf:

Stop equating this with r*** :shadedshu:

Tell that to the fired scammed people who have to feed their families... in their eyes.

And you're equating that with what? Let me ask again are you Okay?

I am pretty surprised there is even a debate about it. Someone doesn't really understand the scale of this scam scheme and people involved. There are pages of bullshitting because someone doesn't like something.

People moan all the time... you need to show your solid stance. Debate about more gentle ways of exposing criminals... sheesh...

He has a bad case of EKlovingitus, or maybe he's just after some free watercooling stuff.

You really should get more reserved in what you say. If you know that somebody commited a crime or violated some legislation somehow, you should first report it to the authorities.

If you ever speak about it publicly, you are in danger of commiting (a crime of) defamation and are liable for damages.

You are still on your passionate drill towards GN? Go PM Steve, bring it out. Don't make a fool out yourself. Everyone is allowed to express their opinions, you cannot deny free speech and look for public documents and ask people around. What is your legal accusation towards GN? More like personal beef?

I still think you haven't even watched the video and just truly enjoy trolling here.
