EPYC 9965 (192 cores ZEN5c), a design error?

Who cares about video encoding on the 9965?

“At 192 cores, the Zen 5c-based AMD EPYC 9965 is great for throughput and excellent for virtualization and cloud workloads.”

Design error…
Really?

Why stop there? This is what you really need. 256 cores and 6TB of ECC RAM
The $120,000 Titan A900 crams 6TB of RAM into what's quite possibly the world's most powerful desktop PC | Tech Spot

not putting thermaltakes in my $120k computer...

Never had anything but problems with their power supplies (and yes, I have used more than just the TR2s). I have used and enjoyed thermaltake fans/coolers/cases plenty in the past, but they have never been what I would call top quality. If i am spending $120k on one single computer (though i wouldn't, even if i had the money) I can do better than that. Upon reading about it, the whole things seems a bit unpolished for that amount of money. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty. And you could do lots of things with it, just not to my taste.

Fair enough. I've never had any issues with them, but have also not dealt with too many of them.

Given its a big industry player, no.
Don't care how big they are, their services are annoying, intrusive garbage that get in the way of legitimate users accessing websites they need to access. I left one of my side jobs early this year because the site owner employed them and I couldn't access the site or log in. I invoked my breach of contract severance clause and once he paid, called and gave him a healthy scolding. Cloudflare is currently utter crap. But this is off-topic, so I digress..
