Tried using NVCleanstall v1.60 on Nvidia 6150SE nForce 430 v309.08 (Win8, 32-bit) and it gives the following error message during the Preparing Sources/Unpacking installer phase:

"Copy failed for EULA.txt. Access to the path 'C:\Users\billl\AppData\Local\Temp\NVCleanstall.unpack.tmp\EULA.txt' is denied"

Changing security permissions makes no difference (did the 'Properties > Security > Edit' thing, for both the file and the entire folder, but all groups and user names already had full control).

Get the same message with both v1.50 and 1.60, both portable and installed.

NVCleanstall has worked fine to date with all other tested Nvidia driver files apart from this one (around 6 in total).

Driver file can be downloaded here or here.

Currently running Windows 10 1809 (17763.55) x64 (am not trying to install driver on this machine, but rather extracting files for installing on someone else's computer, as have successfully done several times before with other driver files).

Thanks in advance.

Nice find! For some reason the file EULA.txt has the read-only attribute in that driver version, which causes the file copy process to fail in NVCleanstall

Please check if the attached version works correctly

Hi, thanks for that. Your attached version worked fine for the 'Preparing Sources/Unpacking installer' phase (as did using original v1.60 version and unchecking the read-only attribute of the EULA.txt file
and clicking 'Retry') but I'm now presented with a (perhaps trivial) further message, screenshot attached.

Clicking 'OK' on this message still takes me to the 'Finished' step where I can still 'Show in Folder' to copy the required files, so it may not be too significant.

Seems ProgressPresentationSelectedPackageUrl doesn't exist on older installers, try the attached build.

Are the installer ads still removed?

Newly-attached version seemed to work just fine, no more error messages. May not be installing driver for a while but will try and remember to report back when I do.

Really worthwhile program, particularly for those running older machines where removing unnecessary processes and optimising performance is invaluable.

Took a while to get around to it, but:

Can confirm that NVCleanstall v1.70 worked just fine on the file from the original post. Driver installation seemed to go well, no known issues detected.

Cheers.
