There's a large drop in AMD performance in this game compared to other sites (a few, but I will use gamegpu.ru's numbers here).

There's a known bug with AMD GPUs and performance issues in OpenGL games when you have an active OSD, such as from MSI Afterburner or Fraps. Performance drops by more than 50%. I've had the same problem in HomeWorld Remastered edition & Wolfenstein itself, had to disable Afterburner OSD to get acceptable performance.

Are you guys benching this with Fraps/Afterburner OSD active? May explain the results.

I have to agree, I thought those figures looked wrong, even Intel, Nvidia optimisation shouldn't account for such a large disparity.

How does GameGPU get their FPS if they dont use any overlay software?

Why are you comparing 1600p to 1440p?

Also, W1z doesn't use UQ presets. He selects very specific graphics settings and then details what they are in the chart prologue.

I play these games on my R290X, performance is really great maxed, but as soon as Afterburner OSD or Fraps OSD is used, performance tanks hard. Just wanted to bring it to attention. Thanks.

That is good to know.

Shouldn't this be serious btw? I don't care too much, but if it's true it makes the benchmarks unreliable as they do not reflect real world usage (which is the point of w1zs benchmarks unless I've read them wrong all these years :p).

It's only an issue in OpenGL games, I noticed it when my HomeWorld performance tanks & stutter badly. In DX games, having OSD Afterburner/Fraps has no effect.

Just noticed my benchmarks are significantly worse than all of these results. Like 7FPS drop.

Great job on the Fury X review, I rate your site one of the best in the tech world!

But I wonder how the Fury X summary charts would look, if Wolfenstein's strange numbers were resolved. :)

A guy I knew from Guru3D got a free 295X2 for reporting a big bug to Hallock's twitter account.
At first he was over the moon, but there were so many driver and general performance issues with the card he ended up getting rid of it and bought a 980.

Stutter was a constant recurrence.

CF has been struggling lately, so many new AAA games have no support on launch (Witcher 3, FC4, ACU, Dying Light etc). Sure I know they are NV sponsored titles but AMD needs to step up, reach out to these developers before they release their games. If it helps, throw some $ their way to get alpha access to optimize drivers.

Any chance to test it out?
im sure w1zzard will make a statement once he finds time to perform some tests :) you just check back patiently.
