I'm just starting the game, and I'm finding it difficult. i only bought it as i thought there would be a few of us playing. if anyone needs help too or your a legend at the game, team up with me.. username 'purecain' add me up!!! :toast:

wooow just come back to this... cant believe no ones playing this game... offer still applies. looking for backup while i learn the maps...

shame, i wanted a few tpu names to come and give me a hand... i looked on a few different boards but didn't fancy playing with complete strangers. ive got a few buddies from over the years but everyone's busy on other games atm.. i thought i'd be playing with this French guy i met playing hunt showdown. but he's never on... its ok.
i decided to use the offline mode instead to learn the exits... the exits are very nuanced and you need to be just in the right place to extract. they are extremely hard to find in some cases... I'm using other youtuber's info, to get by anything I'm really puzzled by. playing on my own has been a lot of fun... the invite is always open for a tpu member to come and join me... mean while its 'get good' time.

if you dont own it give one of my videos a look. I'm just easing into the game...

I haven't played in a bit but you can escape customs by climbing on some rubble and jumping the wall, theres still going to be enemies by the gas station and it will be hard to extract but it is doable I was doing some mission where I had to get some guys watch, took me a while to get out, ended up crawling around the gas station popping heads with the silenced pistol. There is a key that lets you escape really easily instead but that key can be hard to get.

thanks for the info, appreciated... if your not busy one night... come and join me... ive found and memorised the exits on the shoreline map. i have half the exits memorized on customs plus certain drops at both places. but is hard going...7 maps to go i think... I'm just starting to get confident at shooting. the gun mechanics are excellent. the realism is something else... getting shot in a firefight and quickly ducking behind a tree to try and patch yourself up so you dont bleed out. then if you escape, having to repair your damaged gear... its class... a head shot or neck shot always kills unless they are wearing serious body armour... one of the people who worked on stalker is part of the team that made the game and the sound effects and certain aspects really remind me of that series... the game is one of the best fps rpg's ive ever played... it has some of the excitement of hunt showdown with an amazing loot system... ive literally sunk hours into it...:toast:

Good game, but rather broken. They need to work on optimization real bad.

And the lack of physics in the game kind of bothers me too.

they seem to be working on optimisation quite a bit. the game has serious potential... if you buy it add me up purecain. :toast:

twitch streams would argue that.

I have the game, it is just that it runs terrible so I am forgoing it till they do actually optimize it. Its a great game idea and what not.

We play this game most of the week. I am a level 31 and have plenty of resources. We have a discord where me and my buddies play

This game unfortunately has developers that are in way over their heads. The netcode is a mess, hackers run rampant and their roadmap reads like a dream sheet.

hackers??? I havnt come across one person hacking yet. damn lets hope the devs get a handle on things. I really enjoy playing the game...
@brandonwh64 add me up on steam johnb100 username is purecain ingame.
im still running around the first two maps making sure I have every key etc...
I also upgraded my copy to the one with the biggest cashe, but I'll need to reinstall the game for that to take effect so im managing with the standard cashe atm...
btw I record most of my gameplay and on one of my first tarkov videos, im lay'd down pinching a dead scavengers gear. when I hear someone's footsteps getting closer and closer... until I was thinking M&%"**F&cK£r he's waiting for me to finish to shoot me. I jumped up and with the pistol started shooting him, about bullet 4 I realised he wasn't shooting back but by then id already made the decision to kill him 'just in case' lol. so I missed my first and only opportunity at having someone help me out. instead of going it alone like I have. because I think he was trying to make friends... anyway i look forward to having a little backup going into the new areas.. :toast:

sorry for the double post! I think what people mean by optimisation is the constant loading of the maps every 400m or so. I watched someone playing on a titan v and he hardly experienced the stutter... its completely smooth after that... but it can be game breaking when it happens in a gun fight... its strange though, youd think my titan's 12gb of gddr5 would be able to handle buffering the next zone. I wonder if theres a way I can mod the config to use more ram... probably not.. and so we wait for optimisation… if we could see where the zone ends, then we could choose when and where to cross into the next area expecting the stutter.... not a 100percent solution by any means but better than having invisible loading triggers...
