stop!!!!!................................................................ By what i have read and seen was the 7900GT not slightly faster than the older generation 7800GTX?, newer core...less power....less heat.....much higher overclocks? if thats the case why not go for the 7900GT? Don't let the GTX logo get in the way, in many benches the 1800XT was a match for it.

But it is definately a very good deal if you already own one of these cards and want to go SLI on the cheap!

Sorry just noticed no GT's available, I would get in there quick with the GTX....at that price you cant go wrong....flea bay the 1650 and you have a decent performer there until you want to go DX10 if thats a while off for you....if it's not and you would want DX10 soonish then wait although I would think you would recoup the money for the GTX on flea bay in any case.

is the 7800GTX only going to be marginally better or noticeably do you think?

edit: o0o0o0o check this out http://www.hwbot.org/hardware.compare.do?type=gpu&id=240_1&id=1041_1&id=884_1
comparison between x1650xt and 7800gtx and 7900gs...
obviously it doesnt take into account the system running the card but that looks like the 7900gs def takes the cake

Hmmmm, if thats all the gain I would go for the GS, it overclocks like mad, can more or less match the 1950pro.
