EVGA today introduced an update for its popular graphics card performance control software, the EVGA Precision 1.5.0. The software facilitates adjusting graphics cards' clock-speeds, fan-speeds and provides real-time monitoring of some of the parameters of the cards. The new version brings in a host of changes that include independent adjustment of cards' parameters in setups with multiple GPUs, regardless of SLI being enabled or disabled, monitoring in the same mode, and an updated On-Screen Display Server that works well with SecuROM-protected games.

Registered EVGA users can download the software from here.

An extract from the version history is as follows:
  • New multi-GPU systems control approach. Now Precision gives you independent access to thermal monitoring, overclocking and fan control settings of all GPUs installed in the system regardless of SLI mode status. Please take a note that the previous version settings and profiles are not compatible with version 1.5.0 and will be lost.
  • Added new green and dark skin editions.
  • New skin format v1.1 adds bitmap effects support to the skin compiler. Now skin creators can use new technology to simplify skin creation process and easily create different color editions of the same skin by applying various color tuning effects to the same bitmaps during compilation. Built-in blue, violet, green and dark skin editions are based on new technology, so it is recommended to use these skins as bitmap effects usage tutorials.
  • Added multi-GPU core, shader and memory clocks and fan speeds monitoring.
  • SLI mode status is detected dynamically and displayed properly in system info when SLI mode is being toggled on the fly during Precision runtime.
  • Now Precision displays graphics processor codename in system info.
  • Fixed memory clock monitoring for G98 graphics processors family.
  • Now Precision is able to detect memory clock frequency generator switching to PCIE bus clock and display correct idle 100MHz memory clock frequency on GeForce 9 and older series graphics cards.
  • Added -profile0 ... -profile9 command line switches for loading the profiles.
  • EVGA On-Screen Display Server has been updated to version 3.1.2. New server provides improved compatibility with SecuRom protected games when high application detection level is selected and fixes issues with starting the server with no server icon displayed in the system tray area under certain conditions.
  • Various internal code cleanups and optimizations.

Downloading now!! Can't wait to try this baby out Love the SLI Mode!!!

Edit:

Does work!

Only problem is Percision shows me as having oc'd the second card, where GPU-z shows it's the first.. lol

Might that be because GPU-Z identifies the two cards as GPU 0 and GPU 1 (the way they really are and should be), where it looks like Precision identifies them as 1 and 2 so each "1" in the 2 proggies arent actually the same GPU ....... if that makes any sense at all lol.

Yeah, that does. lol.. Just somethign that has to be updated. Nothing big! W1z is still the MAN!

Edit: this puts a fun spin on SLI! At lease to me! :toast:

Good news. It's these kind of solid and good looking utilities that set EVGA apart from the competition. I'm waiting to see what new features will come with the next version of ELEET utility. EVGA seems to be holding back the latest build from public so they can release it later in the month along with EVGA Classified.

Your right about that AddSub!!! Makes me go with Evga over any other Nvidia card!

Too bad none of my 20 or so skins work anymore.:(

I was expecting them to combine the voltage ocntrol in this version, obviously not.
Anyone know of a good reliable auto OC tool for graphics cards? Like you used to be able to do in Atitool?

Rivatuner is very reliable and flexible.

I don't see a benefit of AUTO OC, hell even back when, the AUTO OC on ATI Tool wasn't always perfect, it worked well on my 9600Pro, but I would get a lockup on my x850pro...I'd rather be able to tweak it to levels I choose and test it with something like furmark. Not saying it wasn't a handy feature, but I just don't think with the larger step-increases some GPU's take over others that an AUTO OC is really a worth-while proposal.

Though I do agree, I was hoping to see the voltage control part of this version too along with being able to save voltage settings on a per-profile basis.

Will download soon, thanks champ.
