Since yesterday evening I cannot access my Facebook account, or any other Facebook page, for that matter. No matter how I try, it always shows me this:

Need to know your browser, any extensions, any firewalls, router, modem, ISP, country of origin, DNS...

*claes realizing they’re just reciting the FB privacy policy :p*

No issues here, Europe, NL.

Same for me with my UK2 fibre connection in London :D

But @JonathanX doesn't state where he is from so it's hard to tell if it's country, dns, region, isp or browser issue.

I'm from Romania, I use the browser Mypal version 28.11.00 (32-bit), I didn't install anything new like addons or extensions lately. Nor did I even do anything on Facebook in order for my account to be deleted or reported or anything like that. Everything worked OK until yesterday evening, and ever since it just shows me what I presented in the photos of my opening post.

And I just deleted the entries in my cache and the Facebook problem still persists.

Ah, okay so you are properly using RCS & RDS.

Could you try with another browser?

Unfortunately no, because I only started using Mypal due to the fact that any Chromium-based brower stopped working for me for about... 2 years, maybe, something like that. Probably because of my Windows XP. I don't remember if I started a thread here about that problem or not, but I have been forced to use anything else except Google Chrome or Chromium or anything like that because they simply refused to work, I don't even remember how much they messed with my nerves.... :(

Ah yeah this is your main issue here, running Windows XP in 2021 doesn't help since XP went EOL (End of Life).

You should concider Windows 10 or 11, it will run on your current hardware but I would choose a optimized version since you only got 8GB of ram.

Like the version that Bryan from TechYesCity released with all bloatware cut out.

This thread is not about my Windows XP or an upgrade of my system, it is about a Facebook problem. Why did everything work OK (including Facebook) until yesterday evening and then Facebook starts doing this stuff?

I know, but with XP you are limited to MyPal browser and there is also K-melon browser which even works on Windows 98 if you trust their lastest news on the site: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/

If it broke without you touching anything, it will fix it's self the same.

Cool, thanks for mentioning it, let me try that browser now and I will get back to you and tell you if Facebook works on it!

Thanks, man!

I'd love it if that were true, mate, but how can I be sure? And when exactly will it fix itself? I'm just trying to find an explanation.

That browser K-Meleon doesn't work, when I double-click on the .exe it shows me this:

I don't speak Russian, so I cannot understand anything from the posts in that forum... :(
I don't see how they can help me...

Will I be able to use Facebook on my system and with Mypal browser from now on? Or is this error not fixable in any way?

Delete your cookies, try a private window if mypal has the option

Try a browser from here:

Check the inspector/developer console for errors if your browser has the option

I went to the link you gave me and ended up downloaded the browser called Serpent, and now Facebook works without problems!

Thank you, man!

I'll delete the cookies and whatnot from Mypal, to see if it fixes the problem. If not, I'll uninstall and reinstall it.

Could just be the website, but equally XP - there's a lot that goes on under the hood and the OS matters. Do other websites load ok?

Do you have another browser to try? That's the first thing to do.

People still use Facebook. I canceled that crap years ago.
