Hello everyone,

I found this GPU in an old PC and wanted to see if it works. The GPU seems to be functioning, but GPU-Z and HWiNFO both indicate that it might be fake. After doing some research, I found that there is no GTX 560 with 3GB of DDR3. So I'm wondering what this card really is. I also did an Memory Test the results are below.

I took some pictures of the die and the memory chip. Under load, the memory chips were as hot as 95°C/203°F.

I hope someone can help me identify this card.

Thanks in advance!

Thats a refubrished GTX550Ti 3GB, with specs identical to the card reported here in 2011
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/new-550ti-unusual-gpu-z-readings.157694/

It is refubrished from the chip produced in 2012.09 (maybe the laptop/quadro) with newer 2019-produced micron memory.

Besides the questionable stability/longetivity - it should work identically to that 550Ti.

The faking is identification, that was faked from 550Ti into 560. Can be just ignored. Since it works -I don't recommend trying to tinker with VBIOS - maybe it has some timings special for this micron memory and would not work with any other VBIOSes, maybe even useful to upload it with GPU-z button mentioning in the comments that its for GF116 chips with 12 ICs of Micron Z9MHN memory

The plot thickens.

The bios version above states for a gf104 pcb

Anyways from what I see it should be a GF116 on a GF106PCB from bios files i looked up.

While submitting VBIOSes from GPUs without easily recognized model - enter the values present on various stickers/gpu board - this may be useful for others searching for VBIOS based on their labels

So, I'd suggest:
  • manufacturer: "NVIDIA"
  • model name: "V560N-3072"
  • and chip labels in additional comments "GF116-like N13-750-A1, Micron Z9MHN"
