I've just bought the p8p67 pro motherboard and I'm looking to buy 3 x 140mm and 3 x 120mm fans that look good together. what fans would you recommend and also what colour scheme should i go with eg. blue and black

cheers sam

depends on your chassis my bro

I personally prefer all black fans, no leds, no colored blades. Just high rpm, solid black fans. It just looks clean. I have all 120mm 1800rpm Xigmateks in my CM690II and it looks pretty slick.

:toast:

I'm using enermax magmas in my 800D just for the looks. They look great.

the magma fans look awesome but I think it would clash the the colours on my mobo which is a mixture of white/blue/black.

so I think that black outside with either black/white fins would look good

Ah yeah. I used to use Thermaltake ISGC Fan 12 120mm fans in it because they are white and super quiet. I highly recommend them. They have a super unique look.

Noiseblocker BlackSilent PRO PK3 140mm 1700rpm the PK2 is the same but 1200rpm but the PK3 isnt much louder. Does a really good job at giving airflow yet aren't that loud like some other fans, i prefer Noiseblocker to Noctua. I just find Noctua has its fanboys there are other decent fans out there lol.

Currently using a Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilent PRO-PL2 120mm 1400rpm as my exhaust you get the PLPS which is the same fan but 1500rpm.

Need a new fan for the top panel though as one of my stock lian li fans is making a crappy noise plus its got a kinda loud spin.

EDIT: Forgot to add the noiseblockers come with really good rubber mounts.

I use different Arctic Cooling fans and they are well made, not those Chinese (sorry Elisa) generic ones with a fancy sticker.

You can't go wrong with Noiseblocker fans. Very quality stuff, nice looking (usually black frame with semi transparent clear or dark blue blades). My entire system is powered by Noiseblocker fans for years and i'm very happy with them. Price is indeed slightly higher but i think they easily justify it.

Btw i'm using their lowest range, BlackSilentFan models. And they are still very very good. I have to try their top end BlackSilentPro and MultiFrame models. They must be even better considering they use hydro bearings and antivibration frame.

I agree with erixx. I've been using the Arctic Cooling F12 fans for over a year now, and I have to say that they are good fans. Very quiet, solid build, and very inexpensive (less than $7 USD). It comes in a black frame - white fan color scheme.

With the extra money you'd be saving, you could spend it on something else.
