Far Cry 5 and Wildlands access denied

Following my new build I started getting an access denied message for FC5 with no further info and a security message for Wildlands citing lighting.exe.
In both cases the lighting process for my Corsair RGB keyboard and Asus Aura for the mobo and GPU was percieved as a threat to the ludicrous anti-cheat system in place for these games.
Anyway, stopping the lighting process in task manager fixed the problem which means you can't have any fancy lighting on your rig when playing these two games (and possibly others, who knows?).
I've submitted two tickets to Ubisoft, but whether they actually care about making exceptions is anyone's guess.
Please move this if it's already been discussed elsewhere.

That does look cool. Definitely going to try that.
In fact, it's not the Corsair software, it's specifically Asus Aura and I'll have to take it up with them, although there is an open thread already on the Asus Rog forum.

Show me any point in the video where there is. All you get is stars and stripes blinking at you as soon as the application is run.

Cause this is the friggin loading screen !!!

I just used this video to point out to splinterdog that there is such a thing and it may be the problem,while you're poking holes in the rgb implementation itself and can't even google it to see what it does. Stahp! You've got trouble reading peoples intentions a lot of the times.

I finally received a reply to my Ubisoft ticket, so in a nutshell this is what transpired.

On 18 Sept I wrote:
"Far Cry 5 won't start and throws out an access denied message and the only way to start the game is to stop my Corsair lighting in task manager, by disabling the process lighting.exe.
Okay, I can now run the game but it's ridiculous that I have to stop a legitimate program just to the run the game, especially since I've just spent hundreds of dollars on a new system.
I would ask that the anti-cheat system allows exceptions and that Ubisoft release a patch as, judging from the forums I'm not the only one with this problem.
Just sort this out please."
(In fact, it's not Corsair lighting that's causing the issue but Asus Aura, for which I sent a different ticket and have received the same reply.)

To be fair to Ubisoft I received a reply on the same day in Spanish, presumably due to my location being Argentina. I won't put the entire reply here because it's too long. Suffice to say that it's way off the mark in relation to the anti-cheat access denied message and offered no real solution of any kind.
Viz:
"Delete all temp files in AppData, disable ALL programs from Start Up in task manager, deactivate SLI, return overclocked CPU to stock, disconnect additional monitors, deactivate ALL antivirus and firewalls, install all Windows updates and finally, ensure that the correct version of DirectX is installed. Please also send us DirectX and MS System Information files so that we can diagnose the issue."

My reply:
"The reply had nothing to do with lighting.exe or anti-cheat and it was all written in Spanish.
Reply in English and not some scripted rubbish that has nothing to do with my problem."

Their reply:
"I apologize for the confusion, In this case some programs do not let the game run properly there for it needs to be deactivate to be able to play the game. This is the way Ubisoft Inc. built this game and there's no other way to go around this matter."

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Whilst I appreciate the frankness of the reply, it leads me to believe that unless people shout loud enough, this will never be resolved, if ever.

I dont have any issues with corsair keyboards and fc5. Tested multiple board and multiple versions of cue and icue. Not trying to add salt to the wound, but my guess is the temp files or old corsair data could be at fault.

As I said in my previous posts it's Asus Aura not Corsair.

Update
Ubisoft appear to be investigating this issue, in spite of the fact that the Windows service is Asus Aura, not Corsair as I've reminded them several times.
"Thank you for contacting the Ubisoft customer service.

As we have stated prior we see that you have a security problem when launching Ghost Recon Wildlands due to Corsair RGB lighting. Please Keep in mind that our development team is investigating this to determine the cause of this happening with this lighting.

However, in the meantime, we recommend disabling this and playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands with RGB disabled in order to proceed and continue playing this until this is further investigated and solved.

Thanks for the tip @W1zzard but in the end I preferred not to delve into that, in case of ban problems etc, coward that I am.
They never did fix it for either game, in spite of my weeks of email exchanges with them. Passing the buck springs to mind and all they could suggest was disabling lighting.exe every time, as if we didn't know already.
Funny thing is, it doesn't stop the RGB lighting anyway as this short clip shows.

Ubisoft appears to have realised that Lighting Service.exe isn't a threat after all and FC5 and Ghost Recon Wildlands now run fine with the service running.
I'd like to think that the emails we sent to Ubi support had some effect, but you never can tell.
