Yeah, I finally arrived at the extended scenes which are unskippable on the final fight for Fall's End, ugh I'm not a plot guy, just let me back at the game. I liked FC3 also, but the huge delay to bring up the map UI is was painful to replay. I'll get to FC6 next year ...

So a friend and I were playing and made it off the first (starter) island. About 5 minutes later we beat the game. lol

They were doing their best to talk us into joining their revolution but me and my buddy were like, "screw that, let's go to America!" We pointed the boat North(ish) and headed out. We made it to America and the game credits rolled!

Why do the character renders look so dated in this game? Facial expressions look more realistic in a 10 year old game!

Am I the only one who thinks that Castillo looks more like an oil painting than a proper character render?
For a game that has such crisp landscapes and physics, this is a disappointment.
It could also happen that my expectations were set too high because of that trailer(which unfortunately was a movie).

His character graphics don't look as good as they should have. Not seen his character in person in the game yet though. Am enjoying the game, haven't tried fishing yet. Have got into a fair few scrapes though lol.

I fixed my crashing problems a week ago. So according to Ubi, they admit in the support fax that if you change any video settings, it can corrupt files and cause crashes. They state if you run the settings default you won't have crashes. They also said if you did make changes, to delete a certain file from the game folder, (I believe it was the config file?) the game when next ran will redownload the file and this will leave you with the default graphic settings. I did this and the constant crashing stopped. This is a stupid fix but it worked for me.

Video settings corrupting files? Looks like they haven't changed since the FC3 days.

I changed mine when i first ran it, without deleting nothing, and have had zero problems with the game at all. I am even running mods from nexxus now too.
