Far Cry 6 fishing

Hi guys, apologies if this isnt in the right place, I have a problem with fishing in Far Cry 6, on PS5, can anyone tell me how the hell I get bait? All I read or watch says its in the tackle box but I cant see it anywhere

You don't use bait. Just throw your line in and start fishing. The first mod slot in the tackle box will give different buffs to the lure but it's not necessary to fish.

Ok thanks, Does it take a while? I have fished several spots now incl the fishing pond at one of the Guerilla bases and the fish just arent coming anywhere near my rod

I have not a problem. 10 seconds at the the most before a fish hits the line...

I forgot to say is don't let the lure just sit there...reel, stop, reel, stop over and over. It ain't like bait fishing where the worm can just sit in one spot.
