i downloaded it last last night..

my first thoughts.. its a very small download of 12 gig.. i was expecting a much larger one.. the install folder shows 16 d gig..

seconds thoughts.. its does seem a bit heavy on the hardware.. i havnt played it yet just had a quick look at the benchmark and intro scenes and soon got stomped on by a woolly mammoth and then splattered by a sabre tooth tiger.. he he

i hope i am gonna like being a caveman and dont miss the tools of the modern age too much.. :)

You know you're gonna be fed up after outpost number three and still toss it in the bin.

I'll come check back later to read I was right, 'kay ?

:peace:

well i have played about an hour.. done the deep wounds mission and so far havnt died once.. unusual for me with a new game.. the game looks pretty and is very "orange" for some odd reason.. someone must have thought things looked more "orange" back then.. he he

I am enjoying the game, I did not play Far Cry 4, I did play 3 though.

To me its a combination of some other games, Witcher 3, Ark Survival Evolved, with that being said.... Its keeping me occupied so far, I have 8 hours of game play.

Typical Ubisoft game you could say, but it has a cool twist on it that I may personally enjoy more than others. It seems like its not going to have a ton of end game content though, but I am just guessing, they will probably milk some DLCs out of it I am sure.

-Its kind of funny to me that even though its "Primal times" you still have a very detailed map of the entire area.... I know there needs to be some sort of map mechanism, but I think that part of it could have been changed to fit the "Primal" times. idk just a thought, also.... the Animals imo are way to easy to tame.

i played 4 and the valley of the yeti.. i like the farcry format.. i have witcher and fall out 4 on the system but somehow cant really get into them.. i want something a little more sedate to play alongside just cause 3.. fall out 4 is too sedate so is witcher.. primal might just be about right for more relaxing moments.. :)

I think that, the simple and repetitive weapons and gameplay, and the reskinned world are the biggest and most obvious failures of this concept. I say concept because this is not a community involved idea like they first lead us to believe they were interested in. It's a cheap reskin experiment to see just how gullible gamers can be. A new low in cash grabbing schemes.

i dont consider myself overly gullible.. more of a total cynic than anything else but there you go.. he he..

i will pass judgement on it after playing it for a while..

Far from the first time we've seen that, and surely not the last. If anything they are just more blatant about it as of more recently. - With that being said, I am still enjoying the game, but I am afraid you are right, I dont wish for this thread to devolve into argument over that matter, I want to talk more about the game, but 8 hours of game play and 20% completion on the progression % is kinda saying something.

"but 8 hours of game play and 20% completion on the progression % is kinda saying something."

5 x 8 is 40 hours.. ??

so far i am quite enjoying the game.. the scenery is very good and suits the situation well.. visually i aint going to fault it.. no way does it resemble kryat.. at least not to me it dosnt..

Your inventory works differently in this game, instead of being a giant collection with an overall limit, you can collect a certain amount of every type of crafting item. You have to do a quest to increase the overall carry size of items. The daily reward stash you see at your camps are actual resources you can tap into that your tribe has collected for you. So if your full on one type of crafting item, you need to craft something with it or upgrade your bags, but having a full bag of something wont actually slow you down.

yes i have figured it out.. no shops or bartering back in the caveman days.. he he

also no need to empty your bag.. :)

a kind communism for your friends and kill and rob your enemies.. sounds like a sensible system.. he he
