Got a few questions for you techPower Up!

1) If I watercool my X800 XL, will it be necessary to put RAMSinks on it?
2) I have RAMsinks on my XL right now(Zalman) but they're aluminum. I'm planning on removing them and putting new ThermalTake VGA RAMSinks. Would that be better since they're copper, unlike the aluminum Zalman ones?
3) My MoBo's ATX power connector is 24-pin, but on my PSU, it's 20-pin. It works right now but would it make a difference if I get a 20-24 pin adapter?

yes ramsinks are needed
yes copper will be worth it
yes you need the adapter

kenny is right, copper is better
The mobo will be more stable with all the wires plugged in.

Even though it works right now with 20-pin instead of 24-pin, it will be more stable with the adapter?

yes, it adds an extra 12V,3.3V,5V and ground.

Because of the small gauge wires the power is spread out.

This is the power output of a Antec 550 PS.
+3.3V@32A, +5V@40A, +12V1@19A, +12V2@19A, -12V@1A, +5VSB@2A

the 5V is 40 amps, on a single 18ga. wire it would melt. So they use 5 red wires to spread it out.

Now it may work with 4 red wires but when they design the mobo they plan on using 5 reds to spread the power around.

Ok. I'm planning on getting the TT Aquarius VGA Waterblock soon, and when I have money, I'll get the TT VGA RAMSinks and 20 pin to 24 pin adapter.
