See just how well FINAL FANTASY XIV will run on your computer. This official benchmark software uses actual maps and playable characters to assign a score to your PC and rate its performance. A character creation tool is also included, allowing you to view a playable character as they will appear in-game.

Graphical Update

Ahead of the release of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail, the benchmark allows players to experience a portion of the upcoming visual enhancements featured in the game's first graphical update.

The key aims of the first graphical update and the subsequent planned incremental improvements are listed below:

1. Enhancing screen-wide aesthetic appeal
2. Enhancing texture and shadow resolution
3. Improving material qualities
4. Preserving the existing style

Enhancements to characters, backgrounds, and other visual elements can be seen during the benchmark cutscenes and while using the included character creation tool.

I wanted to check the performance of DXVK, but it shrinks the window differently

Rare screenshot: 5950x max boosted during the benchmark ( edit --> ) oops it seems afterburner's overlay will latch on to windows image preview. LOL I didn't know it could do that.

I can't wait for Dawntrail! :rockout:

1920x1080 Maximum preset on a GTX 1080

Here is my 4K results on Maximum details with FSR disable and Enable....it's a huge difference in final score and it's a bit stupid because always on the benchmark screen at the end said FSR so all the results above could be with or without FSR/DLSS ON/OFF if poster do not mention it will be hard to compare

@maxus24 Will we get a FSR DLSS comparison of this benchmark by any chance?

Selecting the maximum preset should be like for like as it it still rendering at 100% resolution but has you select either FSR/DLSS as an upscaler and if you lower the render resolution your result becomes Custom Full Screen FSR instead of Maximum Full Screen FSR.

probably better to save that for the final release of the game no?

i mean its only 2 months until early beta launches, so my guess is the graphics and features we see in this benchmark are going to be the final product, but maybe you are right. really surprised to see how many Nvidia features Dawntrail has, does it have Nvidia raytracing? I can't tell

Nice, very similar to mine, with a little extra kick from the 4080 SUPER

1440p Maxed Out with DLSS. Something to notice is that enabling upscaling (Always On option) will always make the benchmark read it as "Custom".
Now my issue is what preset is the game using? Because jumping up an average of 70fps (151fps vs 215fps average) is now how DLSS Quality or even Balance
works in other games? So is it using a very low preset like performance mode?
