FinalWire Announces AIDA64 State of the Art Diagnostic Software

Fiery, you should touch base with admin here to confirm your UID, and get a title under your name so others know who you are. ;)

I know Fiery since long time (14 years?, since the days of his first ASMDEMO) and he's a very fine, extremely helpful and polite guy. It was always a pleasure for me to work with him. I know a bit about the background of this story, I know a lot about the past and a bit about the near future.. The fact is, that all the AIDAs and Everest were his babies. The thing with Lavalys was a step back - they have not fulfiled their duties, damaged the company and violated the agreements. So the whole partnership was terminated. All the IP rights remain (and always have been) on Fiery's side. So what currently happens, is that Lavalys didn't publish the TRUTH - Lavalys is violating the law by selling software for which they do not have the rights anymore ! Poor customers that buy now from Lavalys..
It would be nice if ppl could spread this fact to as many places as possible.

Fiery must be Tamas Miklos of Hungary

Lavalys updated their Everest... what's REALLY going on here - who's working on their Everest if Fiery left? Can they do that?
Also, look at this quote from an official Lavalys response to a worried client:

Thank you for taking the time to verify with us. This situation is tricky and we are currently engaging legal procedures against this individual. We are currently working on our own solution. Any "upgrade" from Everest offered by this website is unauthorized and therefor if something happen during this process we won't be able to help you in any way.

* note the grammar mistakes... hmmm

it is deffo a strangle thing, it looked really odd the other day. is fiery right and he owns the source code or has the source been liberated.

Man you're right, I apologize for the wrong information! One friend that uses Everest too told me that it was updated yesterday and when I quickly checked it, it seemed right... never saw Oct vs Sep difference.
If you're active, may I ask if you will provide a portable, no need to install version of AIDA64?

Thank you.

It's already there, just grab the ZIP package (either the stable or the beta release) from:

http://www.aida64.com/downloads/a64xe

Extract the contents of the ZIP file into a new, empty folder on your USB flash drive. Then start AIDA64.EXE straight from the flash drive, and enter your license key (if you have already got one). That will effectively save your license key into your USB flash drive (into the AIDA64 folder, file name will be PKEY.TXT), so you can take AIDA64 with you, fully registered/unlocked, and you can use it anywhere.

Later on, when you find a new AIDA64 release and you wanna upgrade to it, you can just download the new ZIP package from our web page, extract it to your existing AIDA64 folder on your USB drive, overwrite any existing files, and you're done with the software update. That method will even retain all your settings and adjustments you made in AIDA64 so far.

I see. It's very nice that you kept the old Everest update/beta "mechanics". Thanks again for everything and good luck sorting it out with Lavalys.

Why not just call it AIDA ... I had to come to TechPowerUp to learn it's compatible with 32bit systems. One other thing to mention is SSD support, which wasn't available on the last release of Everest but is available on AIDA64. Current Vertex SSD temp is 1 degree C ... Current Samsung HHD temp is 29 degrees C

Take it up with OCZ, its a firmware issue. Gonna be fixed soon apparently.

If that is your only issue consider yourself lucky. I still have nightmares about my OCZ ssd.

Have it . One thing I have noticed is that if I have this running while I game my games will stutter and/or skip along with the sound quite annoying , I wished they would fix that .

What was wrong with it coz I'm lovin mine ... then again it's only been installed 2 days, so maybe the worst is yet to come.

I had some serious firmware issues with my old 30GB Vertex. All of my data would just randomly suddenly become corrupted after a while. It would take a month or so to happen and I didn't even know that it was because of the ssd for the longest time.
