For a long time with AMD systems Firefox has bad performance.

I don't experience that, not in Windows 10 nor in Linux with the open drivers.
How many tabs?

800mb of usage doesn't seem too bad. When I had around 5 taps often, my ram usage was well over 500mb.

I think Flash eats up a lot of RAM also.

Edit// Here is my task manager.

Firefox always have a high memory usage that's nuth new, and i don't think it will be fixed bcs it depends on the tabs, content like flash and more that's loaded on the pages u r on.

I use Waterfox a 64bit variant of Firefox and it uses like more than 1,2gb having a lot of tabs opened but not every tab gets opened before i click on them, and i have a new windows so i run 2 windows so i don't think this is bad, and i installed ABP (disabled here on TPU ofc), and another extension that do so all YT Videos is loaded with HTML5 instead of flash, if i choose flash i would have a higher memory usage.

8 tabs in firefox inc 2 with live web Video streaming 460mb

Latest FF are ok, less memory leaks. Anywho FF is better than EDGE:
