"first boot" cycle every time PC has been unplugged

Hi,
If the fans don't support lowest fan rpm which I wouldn't doubt disable the lowest rpm completely.

fan control: PWM
fan step up:auto or 0
fan step down:auto or 0
fan speed low limit: 200 rpm or lowest supported..
fan profile:auto..

if the fans dont support lowest speed setting, then the setting will be disabled...but the fans will be spinning at default rpm...

Hi,
I'm thinking auto would be fine
Have you checked the spec's of the fans you have for what they say is lowest rpm ?
arctic f12, 1350rpm

Hi,
Yeah just disable lowest rpm
Fans will ramp up on startup

Strange it took 4 years for this to surface pretty much why I said try different fans maybe they are going out ?

I've never had a aio last past 36 months personally five year warranty so it works out okay but it's not pretty when these coolers go bad.

Worst case try a back up air cooler see if things change.

Hi,
You might refresh your bios/ reflash with the same, seems really odd this issue surfaced now so maybe your oc'ing caught up to you and your current bios is borked a little.
Or check on how to properly clear cmos.

It is a common symptom of ageing fans...as the fans get older, the bearings will be worn down and they will spin slowly..they will take more time to ramp up to their normal RPM....replacing the fans are the easiest fix..

make sense

Reminds me that the AMI BIOS (which is pre-UEFI, as there were no such thing as UEFI on socket 775) on my Asus P5QL Pro, with a properly running CPU fan, randomly on boot, will bleep several times and display
"CPU Fan Error!" (or similar) and make me press F1 or whatever to continue.
