Hi Guys,

So I have built a PC for a client of mine with a 7800X3D and the system seems to be running very well no issues at all but I was wondering if there is anything I need to turn on in the BIOS to make this 7800X3D run even better? like resize able Bar? I hear about it in CPU/GPU reviews but I honestly not sure where to look in the BIOS for this said feature.

The Motherboard is a Gigabyte Gaming X AX B650 and all I have done is set the RAM Profile to 6000MHz and left the rest as default, but again no idea where to find this option.

Ive attached a Benchmark result of this system in Time Spy and im guessing the result seems pretty right? For this CPU/GPU combo? (Note this isnt a fully updated Time Spy Benchmark Program)

Any help would be much appreciated :toast:

PBO on, ReSize bar on, and the manual is your friend.

There is an x3d cpu profile perhaps, to load, my mb has it.

If you are running recent Radeon (ie. RDNA2/3) then keep ReBAR on because it's just free performance almost all the time. If you are running Geforce you probably should still have it on as general policy nowadays but due to the way Nvidia works (whitelist) it's not nearly as clear cut. I'm pretty sure 1080 Ti doesn't have official ReBAR support, but not 100% sure.

Not much else to do. 6000 should be running 3000MHz UCLK, check with HWinfo or something (Memory Controller clock) to make sure it's not 1500MHz. Otherwise, kinda the whole point of 8 core X3D is set and forget with no nonsense.

As for where it is, on Gigabyte it should still be under Settings tab > some submenu (IO??) > Above 4G Decoding to Enabled, ReBAR support to Auto

I wont put PBO on and sadly the Manual doesnt help at all when it comes to Resizable Bar

I will have to go looking in the BIOS and see if I can find anything.

Its running a Nvidia 3060 TI as shown in the benchmark result but I knew it would still work with Nvidia cards as well so I thought turning it on would make sense.

Yeah the Memory is running at 6000 no worries there, EXPO G.Skill Flare X stuff works everytime!

Ok cool thanks! I will give that a look as the manual tells me stuff all! from what I can see.

EDIT: Yep I found it under settings tab, IO and there they are all listed and it was enabled by default! same with the 4G Decoding so all is good! thanks again! :toast:
