Hey guys, was wiping off some TIM on the socket of my mobo and accidently bent some of the pins w/ the paper towel :banghead: Fortunately, nothing's broken off, can I just bend them back (carefully) w/ a tweezer and it'll still work? Help please!

you should be able to do it, there is tons of guides out there,

or use a VERY small flathead, or similar

^^^ What The Don said pretty much... Just be careful when moving them back to their original position, you wouldn't want one of those little pin's snapping off right before your eyes

Credit card method. Get a credit card and insert correctly in line with the pins and bend. Screwdriver is a bad idea, pliers = bad, knife = bad. USE A CREDIT CARD.

I also have a .243 caliber rifle round (I actually have thousands), hollow point nose, and I use that to bend each pin individually. Works well if you have steady hands and reading glasses.

EDIT: Oh and if you don't have ammo lying around, go to can of WD 40, look at the red straw. That works great too! It is extremely strong, and fits pins very nicely.

Let me reiterate, USE THE RED STRAW ON THE WD40 IF YOU HAVE IT. IT WILL WORK BETTER THAN TWEEZERS IF YOU KNOW WHICH WAY IS UP!

mechanical pencil AND GO SLOWWW

you are aware he is talking about LGA pins in the socket and not AMD processor pins right? I'm not too sure what you are going to do with a credit card in an intel socket other than covering it up so you cant see they are bent anymore;)

I think he sold the board but..

I had to repair some pins I thought looked out of place on my 780i SLI board. I used an Exacto Knife and the super sharp/fine point worked very well.

I've broken a pin off one of my mobo's, it works fine. Next to the broken pin is a bent one I can't get back right but hey, it's still got my P4 to 3.75 GHz stable. I've heard you can lose up to 6 pins on LGA775 before your mobo stops booting, depending where there from...
Fingers crossed for you.
