Flash Modded BIOS RX 5700 XT Reference Design AMD/ATI - Error 0FL01 BIOS Authentication signature mismatched - Not bricked yet

Well, earlier i told him to leave it as it is now, but i can see that he really want to have a brick in his house :)
5700XT is a fairly forgiving flash because you can mod your original bios with tools and 99.9% of the time it just works.

On 5700XT reference you can`t expect to get 57MH\s, the vram cooling is not that good and vram quality is not that great either. I have had one and it struggled past 1840MHz on vram in gaming that is. Please keep card as is, getting a possible 4MH\s is not worth it.

I am actually listeninging to you since I haven't mod anything, I am divided because I invested in some good thermal pads for those GPUs

I wouldn't like to mod the card using windows OS, only through a DOS boot for that, but the Igos's Lab doesn't provide anything like that...

The reference design I got is the card with the coolest memory among the 5700 xt's so it doesn't make sense

I am glad that i could convince you to preserve the current BIOS.
You will thank me in the future.
All i suggest here on TPU is the only thing that i would do if it were my item.

Which methods we can use to prevent the erros from You?

I know I am not a chip engineer but work with computer programmings but I am not fully bricked
Learn. Or step away.

Thats laughable.

The gpu works so leave it alone, go find a rx 400 line to screw with.

Well, this time serious, you think that the people on this forum would encourage you to make mistakes ?
Never.
More then this we do not support people to make tests with their cards.
BUT...that is you choice. You own it ...you burn it.

My main point is rx 5000 is strange in that it's every bit as modable as rx 400 series etc. It's strange because cards before it (vega etc) aren't and sign their firmware. Very odd choice from AMD, but indeed how it is.

being arrogant you won't harvest much my friend, you need to find a woman and be happy
He's just frustrated because he has helped a lot of users with avoidable bricks over the years. It is an understandable frustration, so I'd hold the harsher criticisms.

I am certain people can add to the discussion but it is pointless to come here relief anguishes, everyday there are new people trying to learn, bricking, screwing, it is unavoidable, I watch other channels and it is happening a lot

Not being arrogant but you surely are.

Fyi I have a lady.

Well if you see it so much why continue pursuing a 100% bricking with that card?

The error you are getting is telling you to stop what you are doing before you make the card irrecoverable.

So when you don't heed the warnings here, don't come back here bitching and moaning that you bricked it, you will not get any sympathy.

Use it as is.

"You own it, you burn it"

/thread.

Poor lady doomed to withstand you, only explainable in separated beds...

Strange that you mention the word sympathy, you don't even know what does it mean, perhaps you didn't have an education....I fully understand

Are you still expecting that I will ever come back??

It is funny such naivety expecting people coming back to ask something haha this forum is dying with people like you

No need for any insults or ^%£$ kicking.

I've seen it all so much that we have new members on the forum because they've bricked their GPU and then want to try and find a way to bring it back from the dead... As I mentioned in my first post, the difference in performance between 50 and 57MH isn't worth the risk in my opinion. The RX 480s I've had were a load easier to mod and get working, the 5700's I had didn't seem to want to know. What's the point and risk for a few MH that might not happen anyways?? All about the long haul not the short term gain :)

Chill please :)

@russian.cyka - please let me explain what we do here :
We TRY to help people as long as they listen.
We do not encourage hardware tests.
We are not arrogant.
Sometimes when a forum mate is stubborn , maybe we loose our temper.
BUT...keep in mind, we are not payed for this - we do it for fun!!!!

It's mostly low vram quality, not cooling, didn't mine eith my card, but around 1850MHz it got unstable even though temps were okayish.

Disregard him, he doesn't listen.

I mean speaking of not listening, I sort of feel like you all (with the exception of Eidairman who PM'd me) missed the point that there is a tool and flashing program at that link I provided. Flashing your own modded vbios is a lot lower risk than a lot here think, and doesn't generally end in a brick if the tool is quality (this one is, I used it several times).

Of course it's never risk free, but it is safer than say, playing with Ampere or Turing which is like a guaranteed brick if you mod it, and a 50/50 chance if you crossflash.

Of course, if it's not a dual bios card like the reference AMDs used to be, I'm going to say leave it as well, because that can be tricky to recover from...

It was so much arrogance and negativity that your message was almost suppressed by that

@russian.cyka - as i mentioned earlier: we are not payed , we do it from our time.
Please be patient and most of all please respect other members, cause we enter here on this forum in order to help others.
With that in mind , maybe you could get over it.
Cheers mate

Well there was a lot of that I'll admit. But all we can do is try to behave better from here.
