Folding Hardware Deals

When solar runs out and doesn't produce, it will cost me a massive amount of money to keep things running.... Over here electric and gas isn't cheap :(
Hamster wheel time!

I am taking GPUs as donations for F@h. Donate me a GPU and I will put it fold for the TPU team.

I have an old case sitting around..I'm half tempted to build a Folding Rig..hmmmmm would someone care to make a build list?
All you need is a Mobo with 4 slots and a serious PSU like 1200-1300W if you want to buy those Nvidia P102-100 GTX1080Ti mining cards. Mobo and CPU combo on the cheap here

Can't afford the hamster, might have to go with the daughter and misses.... Maybe like Cat did with Lister in Red Dwarf, I believe it was in the episode White Hole.....

If I had any spares I'd possibly consider it but sadly not so much :( I had to buy a GTX 1080 for a giveaway I'm hoping to do for TPU as it is, so hopefully we can get that sorted out soon as possible :)

You can get away with a few basic boards and even use a couple PCIe risers with PCIe power or molex power connectors I believe... The SATA plug models I don't believe give enough power....

Since I set my 2070S on Cancer research, I can tell you it stays nicely on 4 million ppd. production. So far it's a bad start with the P102-100 cards.

Is that for a complete 24 hours straight? I've honestly, never tried any of my cards doing that, I think 12 hours is about the most I can run the rigs I have for :) Gets kinda pricey otherwise!!

Electric cost link thread :)

Just found that so thought would add it :)

yes I fold 24/7

I may have found some drivers for the mining cards. Apparently these driversare released directly by the manufacturer and not Nvidia directly. More testing this morning, will keep you updated.

I must advise you to stay clear of these mining GPUs, I didn't manage to make them work at their full potential.

That's a shame, the cards I did mine with, are all doing the folding now and are in my girls and partners machines... Trouble is though, I just don't have the size of solar array to run them constantly and when the sun goes down... Ouch!

You were mining on consumer cards, though, right? @Marstg is talking about the P102-100 I believe.

Yes, and CMP 50HX. Regular GPUs, no issues whatsoever. I might try to find someone that could flash the CMP50HX with a 2080S bios to see what happens.
On the P102-100 I could try to put a 1080ti bios.
