Well there we are, I mean, another great and brilliant day for TPU!! I hope everyone is doing well and are OK I think there might be even be a milestone and stoner, so lets go see

Makes me wish I had some more and newer hardware but finding a good one at a good price I think might be the hardest thing yet!! Keep up the amazing work man!! Impressive work!!

Right? Considering what my secondhand 2080 cost last year, it feels like Ampere should be getting down to around that same level by now, but it's just not.

Well there we are, what an amazing day as always we seem to be having with FAH recently!! Not far from 350 million points for the day which is mind blowing and outstanding in one hit! Great work everyone, really great work!! I do hope everyone has had a good day and is alright?? Well, I hope so!!

And there we are again, a little down on yesterdays score but still way over the 300 million points for the day, how do you guys and gals manage it all the time!!?? Well, here we are again, amazing smashing day of contributions and we are flying along as always

Just outstanding!! How do you manage it sir?!?!? Look at those averages?!!!! Give it a week and we'll be seeing you again I'm sure!! Such an amazing contributor, outstanding!! My folding rig is down as I'm in the process of transferring it to Debian sans-GUI. I didn't like that Linux Mint required me to have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected to stay active.

Ooohhh, thanks for discovering that behaviour. I was planning on transitioning to Mint for my crunchers. Guess it's time to reconsider.

As soon as I disconnected the peripherals, it stopped folding. If I can't get Debian to work from the command line, I'll probably install IceWM or some basic GUI. I'm also planning to set up SSH so I can remotely manage it.

I gave up on the command-line and just installed Debian with LXDE. It's working without peripherals connected and it recognizes the GPU, but I've been getting this for the past several hours:

Sometimes resetting the client and then the computer has yielded results..
Is there anything in the log..
Might want to do a Google search and post in Folding at Home forum.

I checked the log and it kept saying "no appropriate assignment" along with a "HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE". Folding Forum says that my GTX 745 is too old to fold, which is strange because it worked on Linux Mint.

Well here goes nothing everyone, time to get things up and updated asap!! It's feeling damn warm over here tonight, not sure what is going on with the temps, I'm going to guess a thunderstorm is needed but we won't get anything too impressive I'm sure... ugh.... Still, were was I.... Right, time to get FAH Pie Stats updated for the 10th May 2025!!

I had the same errors when trying to fold again on CPU with less than 4 cores enabled, because the server that used to schedule those jobs has been offline since last year. It's possible the server that was giving you jobs on the 745 is now offline, but it's true that this card is also getting a little old.

I am very suspicious that my issue is distro-related, so I'm going to try Linux Mint again.
