Well there we are again, another big push in the right direction, not very far off 300 million points either, great work everyone at FAH TPU!! :D :D I hope everyone is happy with the performance?? I sure hope so!! We are flying along and it seems we have someone hot on our heels as well, the HCA Healthcare Volunteers team coming in hot!! We'll, I'm sure we'll cope if they carry it on and keep up the contributions!! :) I sure hope everyone is going to have an awesome day and I hope to see you all back again for another big update again tomorrow !! :D :D Take care everyone, see you soon!! :D :D
 
Well here we are everyone for a quick update today, I say quick as no other sites seems to be working today and that's not so great!! :( Anyone else been struggling with getting work from FAH as that seems to be having a bit of a problem at times too I've noticed??

Well there we are everyone, another great day for our TPU teams contribution to FAH!! I'm very impressed and happy with the progress we are doing, so great!! :D I think I even made a bit of a change in my contribution yesterday as well, so I'm very happy about that!! Hopefully tomorrow's contribution will be a little better as well!! The electric has been crazy cheap today, so I'm making the most of it with most of the machines on!! :D

I hope everyone is having a great day, what are your plans for Mothers Day?? (I guess that might be in the UK only??.....) Hope everyone is having a great time!! Take care everyone!! :D :D Can't wait to see the end results tomorrow!! :D :D

Well there we are, talk about going all out for a day!! I think I managed a new personal best to, which is great!! Shame I don't get many days so cheap but I would love to carry that on as much as possible, certainly save on the heating bills I think!! I think I know why @Toothless does it :laugh: :D Nearly a full 70,000,000 points over what we had yesterday, that's just crazy awesome in my mind! :)

I hope everyone has had a great day and is OK?? I hope to be able to get some more crazy points up for the TPU FAH Team soon, but I'll do my best as always :) Can't wait to see you all again tomorrow for another update everyone, take care!!

I'm not sure how you manage to do what you do mate but I do love seeing those numbers you are so awesomely putting out :) Please keep up the amazing effort you put in every single day, we couldn't do it without you and everyone for that matter :)

What are you using to control (and monitor) your 3080?
What are you using to monitor and control your motherboard?
What is the WU project number?
Is the 3080 whitelisted at Folding at Home?
Are you using the (advanced) FAH Control or the Browser Web control to monitor your FAH points?

Everything is OK sir :) I find the Mrs's sometimes puts on FAH when I have Einstein working at the same time, as it uses the GPU as well, times on the folding do go up a little bit!! But that said, some of the bigger work units I get through do take a long long time.. Some on the 2080 TI can take a good 9 to 10 hours and that's just running Milky Way and WCG.. No GPU tasks there from either as far as I'm aware?

I do use the Advanced options, always have done :) The newer release of FAH wasn't my cup of tea but it had some great options and showed a lot more data but sadly, wasn't working for me so running 7.6.21 I think the version is? I've just put it down to the bigger and longer work units for the fact that the cards are a little older and the newer ones must be that much more powerful so it just eats through them compared to mine that might take a little longer :) I'll see if I can grab a screen shot, I'm sure I have some around :)

I thought it was a 3080 doing excess hours on a WU with FAH...

It's not a problem, I'm happy to reply to anything in the crunching and folding threads, I'd love to get more people involved with it, cancer and the like isn't going to go away, so, whatever we can do to help, I'm definitely game for!! :)

Einstein and Milkway are other projects I'm currently crunching and folding for, I've even signed up for Denis as well!! But it seems to be taking ages to get the work I've done verified so I hope I don't loose points for not having them verified!! Not sure if there is a time frame??

PS I'm glad to see you did, I was surprised no one else had mentioned it!! :( :(

Well there we are, over and above all options, here we are with an amazing turn out for the points!! Over 326 million for the last 24 hours which is insanily good and then our average has shot up to over 320 million points, unbelieveable.... Great work everyone!! It also looks like I've a few mentions for some milestones too, so best get cracking with these too!!

Solar been working nicely so, hopefully, some nice points to come!! :D Anyways I'm going off track again, my apologies, time I get on with the important stuff!! Should see some improved numbers from me over the next few days. Had a bit of a scare here. Got the 5090, got it hooked up and folding away... then we had some bad storms roll through a day or two later. Power blipped and the rig with the 5090 wouldn't power back on (had been on a UPS too!). Luckily the PSU sacrificed itself to protect everything else. Picked up a bigger/better UPS and a new PSU for that rig. I have the 5090, one of the 4090, and the 4070 Super folding away right now. I need to pick up another waterblock so I can fit the second 4090 in my server.

I'm very glad however that the UPS protected the card, those things are like trying to find a unicorn...... I take it the machines are on 24/7 @NBrock ??

It certainly wasn't meant to be a flex or anything, just excited to have the hardware for folding. Yes, for now they are all going to be running 24/7. The 5090 will be taking breaks occasionally for gaming. I will have to see how hot it gets once it finally starts to get warm here for summer. That may dictate either dialing back the power % or just not folding on a card or two.

Flex away matey!! It's just amazing you have those cards as they are beasts for the folding!! If only I could see one that wasn't ridiculously priced or had a good setup on the power input, I'd be considering! I mean the 4090s are better as they are slightly lower power consumption but still, probably better off with a 5080 I guess at that point??

If only I could get one running 24/7, the scores would be great, but the power consumption and more so costs over here would be crazy high :(

Well, look at that... We are ranked an amazing 13th!! :eek: :eek: Now to get into the top ten, we would need to be pushing at least 453 million points, the next one up from that would be 504 million points... Holy heck..... That is one heck of a load of folding compute power!! I'd love to find out mind, where all the Default Team users are based as they have over 2.06 billion points for today... Just under 600 active users as well, that's crazy... I think what's crazier is Linus Tech Tips user total, just under 111,500 people!! :eek: :eek: Holy hell!!

In total shock right here, but on that note, I'm going to finish off what I came here to do and then see if I have some extra time for some other bits and pieces I need to do too..
