Hello

As you can see this is my first suggestion for the forums. I find a few things very frustrating currently, so below are the fixes to those frustrations.

  • - a new setting in the profile that enables to go directly into "advanced post options" when editing (bypass the quick edit entirely)
  • - increasing the signature image size to 800x250 and 90kb (it is very hard to get a lot of custom text and that is readable easily currently .. and other reasons, also the width shouldn't be that of an issue, the current ones are not getting past half of the post in a standard 1280x1024 monitor resolution)

You can see below in my current signature that the text is practically unreadable. To add to the reason, some people have much more high signatures because of added text, for those who wish to use only use one image file it is not criminal to increase the high limit by the suggested amount. 500x100 is a very wide resolution so it is very unfriendly for resizing bigger images and fitting parts inside that area.

Thanks for considering

A signature image is supposed to be just that, an image, not text.

The first idea is great, the second not so much. The sigs are big enough as they are. A lot of text + images makes everything very cluttered.

1) If you hit the quote button you go directly to advanced editing.
If you are not quoting, it's only one click to get there.
How exaclty do you want to get to advanced editing?

2) Larger sig images don't add anything appreciable to the site, IMO.

He's talking about editing, not quoting. When you click the edit button you should be taken directly to the advanced mode.

Thanks guys on the first idea.

But I know the seond one it's about clutterness ... fair point I agree

But, Honestly I just want to get this in:

No that's the big one, i've managed to get it to 600x175 and still have some of the text readable, in another forum.

Personally, I'd prefer that the the Quick Edit include the same toolbar as the Quick Reply, but still have the Go Advanced button if you need more than that. But I can see an option in the control panel to bybass quick edit completely being a good idea.

Yes, I would like that quick edit option to go straight to advanced, too. The way it is now is inconvenient for me too.

The images I'm not so bothered about. Perhaps we could have bigger sig pics as a trial?

Like the first idea (I think someone brought this up before). Signatures are large enough. In no way would I want larger signatures... At least no larger than 150 pixels high.

I edit a lot and i need IMG, Hyperling and other buttons .... it's a lot of scrolling and clicking in long posts
