foxconn 845 USB problem

I need your help, one of my client got this board; foxconn 845M 05F1-GV-6L

I put it together from old hardwear.

The problem; USB wont work.
On the rear panel they wont work at all.
Front ( 5,6 from board) not work but when i plug in pendrive, its light flush. Thets it.
Its all the hubs shows up as ok.

PSU tested, changed.
fresh win xp instaled, fresh drivers. looks all good.
Bios; cant find the right one to make it fresh.
Temps all good.

Any suggestion ?


BTW this client a nonprofit to help pp, they dont have any money.

Sounds like a dying/near dead northbridge to me. See what happens when you give it a couple passes of memtest.

I did try 3 loop now, leve it all night run.
no error for now...

anything else?

I run out of my extra USB card, soo expensive over here.

Shouldn't need an overnight run. Hmmmm ....

Really doubt it's a hardware issue, try updating drivers before you take it apart.

I did install from here; http://downloads.guru3d.com/Mainboard-drivers---Intel_c17.html

the Chipset Installation Utility 7.2.2.1006 one, this is the last whitch shows support 845.
Im not sure i can go higher.

Also, can you find the model number of your motherboard? Foxconn may have a special USB driver you need to use.

I did look, this MB not on the list, but try; no luck...

All driver newest as this tool say. also i di try both 845 usb driver from foxconn b4. ( this MB not listed.)


I went out barow an USB card; works with thet.
They have to wait untill i find a cheap one or I just set up a file transfer program for now.
I srtongly belive this MB USB dead. So I give up. ( whitch very rare)
