Fractal Design Define S Issue

I have a Fractal Design Define S case, It came with my pc which I purchased used at the end of 2018. I didn't fully inspect it like I should have.

today I purchased a HDD to install inside of it (I have only had the SSD that came with it). I opened up the case to install it (this case there is no hdd bay, to install hdd's or ssd's, you take the side panel off the case, and you can mount 3 hdd's and 2 ssd's behind the motherboard)

So the issue is, the previous owner took the HDD mounts out. There are 2 SSD mounts attached, but all 3 HDD mounts are not in the case. My other issue, I looked online to buy replacement HDD mounts, and the only ones they sell aren't the same ones that come with my case, they are designed differently.

does anyone have any ideas for me? what I could do to properly secure the drive so it doesn't vibrate. or where I could track down the proper mounts?

In the spinning rust era, I never hard mounted HDDs in my personal PC, but instead suspended them with bungy cord so the vibration was not transmitted to the case. This route may be a solution for you.

The Define S has a bunch of slots between the motherboard tray and the front bezel. I would assume that if you got washers and slightly longer screws you could hang them there fairly secure.

I'd contact Fractal Design and see if you can get some of the brackets directly from them. Their tech support is pretty good.

There aren't hard drive cages in the Define S to do that with. Plus, that is what rubber grommets are for these days.

Yeah, that would be my next option.

I would agree had I not seen the case in 2015. Likelihood of them having any is slim, but still worth the try.

I could be wrong, but I think the Nano S uses the same bracket(though only one) and they still manufacture that case AFAIK.

I do not know for sure, I went off the OP stating they had changed.

contact the seller that you bought it from and ask to see if he still has it
