Frames very inconsistent

I’ll try to explain this the best I can. So for about 3 months now, my frames in game have been inconsistent. I’ve used msi afterburner and steams FPS counter to keep track. Both seem to be on par with each other. I’ll load up a game like for honor for instance. In game settings on high I’ll be around 260-280+ FPS and the next day it’ll be Around 170-180. No settings changed I’ve checked many times even with graphics set to low I can’t touch that 260-280 FPS. Render resolution is always set to 50%. It has been like this the past 2-3 driver updates. I’ve checked Nvidias control panel to make sure settings weren’t switched after the update and they weren’t. So I’m sorta lost in the sauce here. Any ideas?
Games like Warzone, apex legends, Jedi fallen order all fluctuate as well.

Windows 10 Pro

Front panel is always off temps stick around 70-75 C

I’m on a 240hz panel so frames are what I aim for. So I can immediately tell when it’s acting up

It's a far shot, but it could be the CPU if it's not the drivers or something, but i would say worth a try. Go into bios and activate PBO, use 170 PPT/170TDC/1 EDC settings. Max boost CPU clock boost override to 200 MHz. If it doesn't fix your problem it will at least make your PC faster anyway.
